Ashurst advises Tronox Limited on the refinancing of its Term Loan and Asset Based Lending Facility and Senior Notes Issue

Ashurst has advised Australian-incorporated, NYSE-listed mining and inorganic chemical business, Tronox Limited and its Australian subsidiaries (Tronox) on the refinancing of its existing term loan and asset based lending facilities and notes, including a US$2.150 billion term loan, a US$550 million asset based lending facility and a US$450 million note issue.

CMS advises PJSC Uralkali on their $850 mln pre-export finance facility

CMS has advised PJSC Uralkali on its new $850 mln pre-export finance facility arranged by, among others, CACIB, UniCredit Bank, Commerzbank, Rosbank, Natixis and ING Bank.

PSJC Uralkali is one of the world largest producers and exporters of potash. The new financing provided by a diverse syndicate of international banks within a fairly short time period will be used for general corporate purposes, including repayment and refinancing of the company’s existing debt.

DLA Piper advises AviaAM Financial Leasing China on US$500 million aircraft financing

DLA Piper has advised AviaAM Financial Leasing China (AviaAM) on the acquisition, financing, leasing and delivery of eight Airbus A320 family aircraft for circa US$500 million.

Debt funding for the acquisition was provided by China Development Bank, Henan branch and the aircraft have each gone on a 12-year lease to the largest Russian air carrier, Aeroflot. The first three aircraft were all delivered on the same day with two delivered in Toulouse and one in Hamburg.

WFW advises on €182m refinancing for Spanish A21 motorway

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised a syndicate of banks and other European institutional funders on the procurement of senior debt facilities worth €182m granted to Autovía del Pirineo, S.A, a subsidiary of Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras (“Iridium”) and a member of the ACS Group, for the construction and operation of several sections of the A21 motorway in the Navarre region of northern Spain. The tenor of the financing is 20 years.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises Macquarie Bank on first ever Côte d'Ivoire gold mine project financing

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised major financial institution Macquarie Bank Limited on a project financing to Perseus Mining Côte d'Ivoire, a subsidiary of Perseus Mining Limited, an ASX-listed, WA-based mining company.

The project loan facility will be used for the development and operating costs of the Sissingué gold project, which is understood to be the first ever project financing of a mining project in Côte d'Ivoire, and the first ever under the current Ivorian mining laws.

The transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities.
