WFW advises Onefinestay on its setting up in Paris

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised Onefinestay on the setting up in Paris of a platform for booking luxury apartments between individuals.

The establishment of a platform in Paris follows on from the group’s successful operations in London and New York. Other potential European capitals are currently being assessed.

In order to ensure its development, Onefinestay was able to raise the funds necessary for such expansion through different investors.

Eversheds advises Government of Uganda on first oil refinery

Global law firm Eversheds is advising the Government of Uganda on the procurement of a lead investor and operator for development and operation of the country’s first oil refinery.

The oil refinery will have the capacity of 60,000 barrels per day improving energy security in Uganda and East Africa generally. The prospective investor will be responsible for the development and implementation of the refinery and related downstream infrastructure.

Dentons advises Barclays Bank Plc on the further roll-out of Barclays Pingit banking app

London - Dentons has advised Barclays Bank Plc on the roll-out of two additional payment solutions to its mobile payments app Barclays Pingit; 'buyit' and 'mobile checkout'.

Barclays Pingit, a marketing leading banking app launched by Barclays in 2012, now allows users to purchase directly from merchants using the 'buyit' or 'mobile checkout' features. 'buyit' enables customers to order and pay for goods and services by scanning a QR code, while the 'mobile checkout' feature will allow merchants to integrate Barclays Pingit payments into their own mobile sales paths.

Trowers & Hamlins transfers rights to PPC2000 suite of contracts to new JV

Baker & McKenzie Advises Nyrstar On Strategic Agreement With Noble

London, UK/Brussels, Belgium - 2 October 2013 – Leading global law firm Baker & McKenzie has advised multi-metals business Nyrstar NV on its strategic off-take and marketing agreement with Noble Group, to market and sell a significant portion of the commodity grade zinc metal produced at its European smelters.

The agreement is a first step in executing a European zinc plan aimed at actively marketing Nyrstar's product and achieving long term value in terms of customers, product mix and geography. The agreement has a term of four years, commencing 1 January 2014.
