Herbert Smith Freehills has advised the Australian Government on the transfer of ASC Shipbuilding to BAE Systems Australia. The transfer enables ASC Shipbuilding to play an enduring role in Australia’s A$89 billion Continuous Shipbuilding Plan.

Prior to the transfer, ASC Shipbuilding was part of the ASC Group – Australia’s government-owned submarine sustainment and naval shipbuilding company.

Paris - A Tax Transactions & Consulting team in Paris advised Altice France, the subsidiary of Altice Europe N.V., in its exclusivity agreement with Allianz Capital Partners, AXA Investment Managers and OMERS Infrastructure, regarding the sale of a minority equity stake of 49.99 percent in SFR FTTH for a total cash consideration of €1.8 billion based on a €3.6 billion 100 percent equity value. The team included partner Laurent Borey, and associates Nicolas Danan and Louis Nayberg.
