Dentons advises on the launch of Virgin Radio in Oman

Dentons has advised SABCO Media on the launch of Virgin Radio Oman. The new radio station went live on air on 100.9FM in the Sultanate earlier this month and aims to be Oman's most dynamic, attention-grabbing and edgy radio station, targeted particularly at the youth market.

SABCO Media is a cross-platform media company with well known radio stations and magazines in Oman, media reference guides, and outdoor advertising media.

MinterEllison supports DELWP on $50m battery storage projects for Western Victoria

MinterEllison has advised Victoria's Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) on its Energy Storing Initiative (ESI) – a funding program that will deliver two large-scale battery storage projects for grid constrained areas in Western Victoria.

The two large-scale, grid-connected battery projects have the objectives of improving the performance and reliability capability of Victoria's energy infrastructure, and enabling delivery of sustainable and affordable energy to Victorian consumers over the long term.

Gide, counsel to Hands Corporation on the set-up of a new manufacturing plant in Morocco

Gide’s Casablanca office, alongside law firm Yulchon, have advised South Korean alloy-wheel manufacturer Hands Corporation, fifth producer worldwide, on concluding an investment agreement with the Kingdom of Morocco to design, finance, develop and operate a new manufacturing plant to be located within the Tangier Free Trade Zone in Morocco.

Clyde & Co secures landmark oil & gas floating pledge agreement in Mexico

Clyde & Co has advised Petrolera Perseus, a Mexican oil company, on the first ever floating pledge agreement over the interest of oil & gas license contracts in Mexico.

On 13 March 2018 the Mexican National Hydrocarbons Commission (NHC) approved, for the first time in Mexico, the constitution of a floating pledge agreement over the rights of an oil and gas contract.

New Look Announces Company Voluntary Arrangement Proposal

Paul Hastings LLP,  is advising leading clothing retailer New Look and its owner, the listed South African group Brait SE, on the Company Voluntary Arrangement announced by New Look Retailers Limited today. Under the proposal, New Look will restructure rents on a majority of its stores as part of an operational turnaround plan. The CVA identifies 60 out of its total 593 stores in the UK for potential closure, alongside a further 6 sites which are sub-let to third parties.
