Dentons helps Gran Tierra Energy to consolidate its presence in Colombia

Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas, through its partner Hernan Rodriguez, along with the Senior Associate Carlos Vicioso, and the Associate Carlos Arboleda, advised Gran Tierra Energy on the signing of agreements for the acquisition of three oil blocks located in the Departments of Arauca and Putumayo, Colombia. This transaction was possible through a series of asset sales agreements signed with the Colombian company, Vetra Exploracion y Produccion Colombia S.A.S. and the acquisition of shares of the Spanish company Vetra Southeast S.L.U.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised Becton Dickinson (BD), one of the world’s largest medical technology companies, on boosting its footprint in Saudi Arabia. BD has been granted a licence by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) to own 100% of its business. Shoosmiths residential development experts advise Kier Living on prestigious Cardiff site

UK law firm Shoosmiths has advised long-standing client Kier Living on its successful bid to provide exclusive, high-quality homes in one of Cardiff’s largest and more prestigious residential developments.

The Churchlands development site in Lisvane, Cardiff, will be transformed into a 1,000-home site with a new school, district centre and extensive areas of public open space, Kier Living will build up to 330 homes on the site from two-bedroom starter homes to five-bedroom properties.

Building work is expected to start later this year.

Dentons assists Mitsui High-tec in the European expansion

Mitsui High-tec is to build a plant manufacturing generator and motor parts for electric or hybrid vehicles in Skarbimierz, in the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone of Poland.

The plant will be its first European investment, intended to increase its presence in the continent and to become a component in the development of a global supply system answering the growing interest in environmentally friendly vehicles. Construction will commence in 2019.

CMS AD­VISES ENBW ON FIRST LONG-TERM POWER PUR­CHASE AGREE­MENT FOR A SUB­SID­ISED SOL­AR PARK

Hamburg – EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG and Energiekontor AG have signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in relation to a planned solar park in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The plant will be built on a site of around 120 hectares in the Dettmannsdorf/Marlow area near Rostock. It will produce up to 85 MW of power a year to meet the needs of around 25,000 households.

DLA Piper advises Transport for NSW on Regional Rail Project

DLA Piper is delighted to announce that today Transport for NSW achieved contract close on the Regional Rail Project, which will see a fleet of new trains deliver safer, more comfortable and more reliable journeys across the state.

The Project is a Design, Build, Finance, Maintain procurement to replace the ageing XPT, XPLORER and Endeavour diesel fleets, a new purpose built maintenance facility in Dubbo, and ongoing maintenance of the new fleet for the first 15 years.

Schulte advised Veritas Capital and its affiliates in the definitive agreement to acquire athenahealth Inc., a provider of network-enabled services for hospital and ambulatory customers nationwide, for approximately $5.7 billion in cash. Upon closing, Veritas and its affiliates, along with Evergreen Coast Capital, combined athenahealth with Virence Health, the GE Healthcare value-based care assets that Veritas acquired in 2018.

Baker McKenzie Advises Esprit on Conclusion of new Service Agreement with Arvato

Baker McKenzie advised Esprit, the well-known international fashion company, on the conclusion of a new framework agreement for services relating to the operation to the Esprit E-Shop with Arvato SCM Solutions, a Bertelsmann group company.

Arvato took over the performance of the services from Netrada Europe GmbH, which had become insolvent in December 2013. On February 7, 2019 Esprit and Arvato concluded a new long-term service agreement for the individual national shops.
