Clifford Chance advised the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), the investment arm of the Saudi Government, on the acquisition of a 38% stake consisting of new and existing shares in Posco Engineering & Construction Co Ltd (Posco E&C), a leading Korean engineering and construction company with operations in Asia, the Middle East, South America and Europe. The parties are also presently considering their strategic options for Saudi Arabia including the potential establishment of an EPC/construction company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Slaughter and May is advising Remgro and Mediclinic - acquisition by Remgro Jersey of a 29.9% interest in Spire Healthcare Group

Slaughter and May is advising Remgro Limited (Remgro) and Mediclinic International Limited (Mediclinic) on the acquisition by Remgro Jersey Limited, a subsidiary of Remgro, of a 29.9% interest in Spire Healthcare Group Plc (Spire) from funds managed by Cinven, for approximately £432 million. Remgro is the largest shareholder in Mediclinic. Under the terms of the transaction, the holding in Spire will be warehoused by Remgro until Mediclinic completes a rights offering, fully underwritten by Remgro, to raise the necessary funds.

Noerr has advised the Hamburg-based internet company Jimdo concerning the investment by the U.S. venture capital specialist Spectrum Equity Fund. In its first investment in the German market Spectrum is investing EUR 25 million. Jimdo is valued at EUR 100 million.

The AIM High Conviction Fund will be a global absolute return fund and will make concentrated investments in high conviction ideas lead by prominent Australian stock broker Charlie Aitken.

Wolf Theiss advised UniCredit Bank Austria AG ("UCBA") in acquiring a 45 per cent shareholding interest in UniCredit Tiriac Bank S.A. ("Tiriac Bank") from Tiriac Holdings Ltd. As a result, UCBA’s equity stake in Tiriac Bank increases from 50.6 per cent to 95.6 per cent. The closing of the transaction occurred on June 5. The selling price and other transaction details have not been publicly disclosed.

Travers Smith advises on final closing for Hermes GPE Infrastructure LP

A Travers Smith team led by head of Investment Funds, Sam Kay, has advised Hermes GPE Infrastructure LP (the "Fund") on its successful final closing. The Fund, together with its related accounts, raised a total of £1.16billion, with the Fund itself raising £1billion from 18 investors in total, exceeding its £800million target.

Travers Smith's work included negotiating with investors and providing tax and regulatory advice (including advice on the implications of the fundraising straddling the period when the AIFM Directive came into force).

Ashurst advises ITOCHU Corporation on a HK$1.55 billion indirect investment in Bosideng International

Ashurst has advised ITOCHU Corporation in relation to a HK$1.55 billion (approximately US$200 million) indirect investment in Bosideng International Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed manufacturer of apparel and down jackets, together with GoldStone Investment, a wholly-owned investment platform of CITIC Securities.  The transaction also involved investment by ITOCHU Corporation in indirect stakes in other Chinese companies.

DLA Piper advises Teddy Sagi on the purchase of conwert shares

DLA Piper advised Israeli billionaire Teddy Sagi on the acquisition of a 24.79 % stake in Viennese real estate company, conwert. The shares were sold by Austrian entrepreneur Hans Peter Haselsteiner.

The deal, which involved the Hakim family trust and Albona Limited selling their 21,160,921 shares, was completed on 13 May 2015.

conwert Immobilien Invest SE was founded in 2001. With a portfolio of approximately 25,000 apartments the firm is known as one of the largest real estate companies in the German-speaking market.
