The De Beers Group of Companies has acquired a 33.4% equity stake in Synova. The Swiss based company Synova SA is the owner and supplier of the patent protected jet Laser MicroJet (LMJ) technology. As a member of the Anglo American Group, De Beers Group is the world's leading exploration, mining and marketing company in diamonds.

Beabloo, a technological company specializing in combining omni-channel digital marketing solutions and big data for the retail sector, has received a €10 million investment from the SoftBank Group. Cuatrecasas, Goncalves Pereira's Corporate and Commercial Practice has advised Beabloo on this transaction.

The agreement will enable Beabloo to increase its international business, especially in China, India, Indonesia and Japan, and continue to strengthen its investments in technological research and development.

De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek has assisted Pfizer Inc. on acquiring a USD 87.5 million minority equity interest in AM-Pharma, a privately held Dutch biopharmaceutical company and has secured an exclusive option to acquire the remaining equity in the company. AM-Pharma focuses on the development of recombinant human Alkaline Phosphatase (recAP) for inflammatory diseases.

Ashurst has advised Mitsui & Co., Ltd (Mitsui) on its subscription of up to 20% (with an option to increase to 30%) of shares in Australian-based investment fund manager, Westbourne Credit Management Limited (WCML).

Mitsui is partnering with WCML to expand its overseas investment fund management business to key Asian clients by leveraging Mitsui's strong reputation in the Asia-Pacific region and WCML's expertise in the infrastructure fund business. The agreements were signed on 30 April 2015.

(Greenland), a subsidiary of Greenland Holding Group Company Limited, on its subscription of shares in China Rundong Auto Group Limited (China Rundong), a Hong Kong-listed Chinese luxury auto dealership business.

The subscription takes the form of both ordinary and convertible preference shares in China Rundong, and is valued at HK$1.5bn (US$190m).
