Clifford Chance advises Altrafin on the sale of Altran's shares

Clifford Chance has advised Altrafin Participations SAS (“Altrafin”), a subsidiary of Apax Partners and Altamir, on the sale of 14,796,677 shares in Altran Technologies SA ("Altran"), representing 8.4% of Altran's share capital, at a price of 15 euros per share for an amount of 222 million euros by way of an accelerated book building involving institutional investors.

NewAlpha Asset Management Forms Fintech-Focused Private Equity Fund

PARIS – Dechert LLP advised NewAlpha Asset Management, an expert in investments targeting the entrepreneurial financial industry worldwide, in the formation of a private equity fund dedicated to fintech companies.

The fund managed by NewAlpha Asset Management, and targeted to French institutional investors, aims at building and developing a diversified portfolio of innovative fintech and insurtech startups. It also intends to monitor the evolution of financial services and the technological changes affecting banking, insurance and asset management.

The German entrepreneur Professor Hans Georg Näder has entered into an agreement with funds advised by EQT regarding the acquisition of a 20-percent participation in Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH. Otto Bock Group, headquartered in Duderstadt, Germany, is active in the fields of prosthetic and orthotic products, human mobility and medical care and operates with approx. 7,000 employees worldwide in more than 50 countries. In 2016, Otto Bock Group generated more than EUR 880m in revenues.

Hannes Snellman Counsel to GW Sohlberg in Ahlström Capital’s Acquisition of Shares in Detection Technology and Glaston

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Oy GW Sohlberg Ab in Ahlström Capital’s acquisition of shares representing approx. 39% of Detection Technology Oyj and approx. 18% of Glaston from Oy GW Sohlberg Ab (GWS). Ahlström Capital has hence become the largest shareholder in both companies. The total acquisition price for the acquired shares was approx. EUR 110 million.

The enrollment of new clients at the private digital health insurance takes place exclusively online, as well as communications with the client. The all-electronic focus is designed to enable the insured person, inter alia, to have a personal electronic medical record and shall reduce administrative costs.

DLA Piper advises Russia's leading e-health startup on US$5 million funding from Baring Vostok and Yandex

DLA Piper has advised Doc+, one of the largest Russian digital health startups, on a US$5 million round of financing from its existing investors – Baring Vostok, Russia's top private equity fund, and Yandex, one of Europe's largest internet companies.

The startup already partnered with Yandex.Health, an online medical consultation service, and raised US$5.5 million in the previous round from Baring Vostok and Yandex in July 2016.

Milk Visual Effects Limited offers post-production visual effects services historically with a focus on the UK television market but with an increasing presence in film. Notable works include Sherlock Holmes, Dr Who and Ex Machina. BGF is the UK's most active provider of growth capital in small and mid-sized businesses, having invested more than £1.2bn in over 180 companies since 2011.
