Vinge assisted Active Biotech in licensing deal regarding ANYARA

Vinge has assisted Active Biotech AB (publ.) in entering into a development and licensing agreement with NeoTX Therapeutics Ltd (”NeoTX”) regarding Active Biotech’s investigational compound ANYARA. NeoTX will be responsible for the worldwide clinical development and commercialization of the drug for cancer indications.
 
Vinge’s team consisted of Erik Sjöman and Kristoffer Franzkeit.

Matheson advises ElectroRoute on major new partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation

Matheson recently advised leading Irish energy trading and services firm ElectroRoute and its founders on a major new partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation.  The deal which was announced on 14 October 2016 has seen Mitsubishi taking a 60% stake in the Irish company.  The deal will allow ElectroRoute, which already trades across eight European markets, to continue to scale its operations internationally with the support of a company with a market capitalisation today in excess of €32 billion.

Slaughter and May is advising CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, one of Asia’s largest universal banks, on a potential 50:50 stockbroking joint venture with China Galaxy Securities Co.Ltd., one of the largest Chinese securities companies, comprising institutional and retail brokerage, equities research and associated securities businesses.

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised the Henderson UK Shopping Centre Fund ("HUKSCF") on its formation of a joint venture with the  Dutch pension fund manager APG, for the redevelopment of the St James shopping centre in Edinburgh.

The St James centre was constructed in 1973 in the Brutalist style, and will now be substantially redeveloped to include a modern shopping centre, a luxury hotel, restaurants, apartments and a multi-screen cinema. The redevelopment is expected to complete in 2020.

White & Case LLP has advised US-listed The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (Greenbrier) on a joint venture with Astra Rail Management GmbH (Astra Rail).

Greenbrier and Astra Rail are merging their operational units in Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Germany into the newly formed company Greenbrier-Astra Rail, combining the manufacturing, engineering and sale of railcars as well as extensive service capabilities to strengthen and expand the business in Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council nations and Eurasia.

Ashurst represents Cabot China to form a US$60 million JV with Inner Mongolia Hengyecheng Silicone

International law firm Ashurst has represented Cabot China, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cabot Corporation (NYSE:CBT), to form a joint venture with Inner Mongolia Hengyecheng Silicone Co. Ltd (HYC), to manufacture fumed silica in China.

The joint venture will invest approximately US$60 million to build a fumed silica manufacturing facility to be located in Wuhai, China, which will have a manufacturing capacity of 8,000 metric tons of fumed silica per year.  Cabot will hold an 80 percent share in the joint venture and HYC will own the remaining 20 percent.
