On 9 May 2016 China Molybdenum Co., Ltd (“CMOC”) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary CMOC Limited has entered into a definitive agreement with Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (“Freeport”) to acquire 100% of its interest in Freeport-McMoRan DRC Holdings Ltd., which holds Freeport’s indirect 56% interest in the Tenke Fungurume copper-cobalt mine (“Tenke”) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (“DRC”).

Led by Dr. Thorsten Kuthe, the commercial law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Sygnis AG on acquisition of Expedeon Holding Ltd., a privately held UK proteomics company. To finance the transaction the Company’s share capital will be increased by up to EUR 20.538.089 to EUR 37.341.980 by issuing up to 20.538.089 shares by way of a rights offering. Expedeon develops, manufactures and commercializes proteomics reagents and tools.

DLA Piper advised the fund Special Situations Venture Partners III (SSVP), advised by Orlando Management AG, on the intended acquisition of  Innight in Germany, Austria, Belgium and The Netherlands, from TNT Express N.V. for an undisclosed sum. The completion of the transaction, which is structured as combined asset and share deal, is subject to the approval of the competent merger clearance authorities.
