Dentons advises AmRest on the acquisition of Starbucks’ German subsidiary

The restaurant operator acquires all partnership interests in the German partnership Starbucks Coffee Deutschland Ltd. & Co. KG

Frankfurt—Global law firm Dentons advised AmRest Holdings SE on its acquisition of all partnership interests in Starbucks Coffee Deutschland Ltd. & Co. KG, the German subsidiary of the Starbucks group. The signed agreement which is expected to take effect in late May 2016 will result in AmRest acquiring the existing 144 equity stores and having the license to operate and develop the Starbucks brand in Germany.

Osborne Clarke advises RJD Partners on its acquisition of Babington Group

Osborne Clarke has advised independent private equity investor RJD Partners on its acquisition of Babington Group.

Babington Group is one of the UK's leading providers of apprenticeships and training courses. RJD Partners acquires Babington Group from Bridges Ventures, which first invested in the group in 2009. Since then, Babington’s revenues have increased from under £2m to more than £15m.

(NYSE: TEL), a Swiss domiciled world leader in connectivity and sensors, agreed to acquire Jaquet Technology Group, a Swiss domiciled global engineering and manufacturing company, specialized in providing speed sensors and complete system solutions in the automotive, power generation, railway, marine, mobile hydraulics and industrial machinery markets.

Mayer Brown advises VR Equitypartner on the acquisition of Norafin Group

Mayer Brown announced today that it represented VR Equitypartner GmbH, an investment company based in Frankfurt, on the acquisition of the majority of shares of the Norafin Group. The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction is still subject to the approval by the antitrust authorities. The management of Norafin Group remains invested in Norafin Group.

Located in Mildenau (Germany), the Norafin Group develops, produces and sells nonwovens for industrial customers. The company currently has around 160 employees.

Kirkland & Ellis Advising Gilde Buy Out Partners on the Acquisition of amor Group

Kirkland & Ellis is representing funds advised by Gilde Buy Out Partners on the acquisition of amor Group from funds advised and managed by 3i Group plc. The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant anti-trust authorities.

Amor Group, headquartered in Obertshausen near Frankfurt/Main, is one of the leading European producers and distributors of jewellery. Gilde Buy Out Partners is a leading European mid-market private equity investor with operations in the DACH and Benelux regions.

KWM advises AsureQuality and Bureau Veritas on the acquisition of Dairy Technical Services

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised New Zealand state-owned-enterprise, AsureQuality, and French publicly listed company, Bureau Veritas Group on the purchase of the Australian food testing provider, Dairy Technical Services (DTS) which remains subject to regulatory approval.

Bureau Veritas Group is a global leader in testing, inspection and certification services across a range of industries.

Nabarro acts for Ask Real Estate on Bauer Millett acquisition

Nabarro has acted for Ask Real Estate on its acquisition of the Bauer Millett site in central Manchester, its first new project since being backed by construction giant Carillion.

The 1.7 acre site, which is located between the Exhibition Centre and Hilton Hotel is in close proximity to Ask’s highly successful and much lauded First Street scheme. A £300m, 750,000sq ft mixed use scheme is planned.
