DLA Piper advises Duke Street on its acquisition of Medi-Globe Corporation

DLA Piper has advised Duke Street, the mid-market private equity firm, on the €140 million acquisition of Medi-Globe Corporation (Medi-Globe), a German based manufacturer and distributor of surgical and medical instruments.

The Medi-Globe acquisition is Duke Street’s fifth standalone deal outside a traditional fund structure, following on from the acquisitions of Forkrent, One Call Hire and Voyage, on which DLA Piper also advised.

Lekkerland (Schweiz) AG successfully completes the acquisition of assets of Contadis AG

NKF advised Lekkerland (Schweiz) AG, a leading wholesale trading company for convenience consumption goods, in the acquisition of assets pertaining to the wholesale trading business of Contadis AG (Oettinger Davidoff Group). The Parties agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. The acquisition successfully closed on 23 February 2016.

Osborne Clarke advises Vink Kunststoffe on acquisition of PaperlinX VTS

Osborne Clarke has advised Vink Kunststoffe GmbH on its acquisition of PaperlinX VTS Deutschland GmbH through an asset sale. The transaction is subject to approval from the German Federal Cartel Office.

Vink Kunststoffe GmbH supplies various industries including advertising, constructional and industrial sectors with intelligent solutions in plastics. Vink Deutschland is part of Europe's market leader Vink/Amari and is a member of Plastics Family, a global group of companies that distribute plastics.

Freshfields advises on the acquisition of London City Airport

Freshfields has advised the consortium of infrastructure investors comprising Alberta Investment Management Corporation (on behalf of its clients), OMERS, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and Wren House Infrastructure Management Limited (the infrastructure investing arm of the Kuwait Investment Authority) (the “Consortium”) on its agreement to acquire the company that owns and operates London City Airport from Global Infrastructure Partners and Highstar Capital.
