CMS advises on sale of Broetje Automation GmbH

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) has sold its shares in Broetje Automation GmbH to the Chinese firm Shanghai Electric Group Company Ltd. The DBAG-managed DBAG Fund V and mechanical and plant engineering firm Duerr AG as a minority shareholder sold their shares at the same time, along with other co-investors. The sale price was not disclosed. The transaction is currently awaiting approval from the competition authorities.

Orrick Advises Shareholders of Markenloft on Sale to Dentsu

Orrick advised the shareholders of Düsseldorf-based marketing agency Markenloft in the company’s sale to Japanese advertising agency Dentsu Aegis Network, which is part of the Dentsu Group. The transaction is subject to the approval of cartel authorities.

Markenloft was founded in 2008 and, with about 30 employees, generated a revenue of approximately €4.2 million in 2015. Markenloft’s clients include Deichmann, Targobank and TUI.

Houthoff Buruma advised on the sale of Nidera Capital NV to Cofco Corporation.

Houthoff Buruma advised one of the shareholders groups in Cygne BV on the sale of Nidera Capital NV to Cofco Corporation. Nidera is a major international agribusiness and trading company with annual turnover of USD 18.5 billion in 2015. Nidera has domestic and internal operations in 19 major export and import countries and distributes its products to more than 60 countries in the world.

Bankernes Kontantservice sold to Loomis

Bankernes Kontantservice has just been sold to the Loomis group. Plesner has advised the Danish Central Bank and the selling banks on the transaction.
Bankernes Kontantservice (BKS) has approximately 340 employees and is a specialist in managing cash for stores, businesses, local authorities and banks.

BKS was originally established in 2010 when a number of banks joined their functions to handle money counting and cash transport. The Danish National Bank and the majority of the Danish banks owned BKS.

On 16 August 2016, Unilever announced that it had signed an acquisition agreement with Blueair, a world leading supplier of air purification technologies and solutions. The acquisition is expected to further complement Unilever’s product portfolio, marking its entrance in the air purification business. Blueair, on the other hand, may leverage Unilever’s sustainable practices, global resources and channels to gain better development and to help more people breathe clean air and enjoy a healthy indoor environment.
