Hogan Lovells Advises Inflexion Private Equity on the Sale of Rhead Group to Costain Group PLC for £36 million

24 August 2015 - Hogan Lovells has advised Inflexion Private Equity and Management ("Inflexion"), a leading independent private equity house on the sale of its investment in Rhead Group ("Rhead"), a technical professional services consultancy, to Costain Group PLC ("Costain"), one of the UK’s leading engineering solutions providers, for a total cash consideration of £36 million on a debt and cash free basis.

Slaughter and May is advising GlaxoSmithKline - divestment of ofatumumab for auto-immune indications

Slaughter and May is advising GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) on the divestment to Novartis of its rights in ofatumumab for auto-immune indications, including multiple sclerosis, for up to US$1 billion. Novartis will pay US$300 million on closing, with further payments of up to US$734 million on the achievement of certain milestones and royalties of up to 12% on future sales. The transaction is expected to complete by the end of 2015.

King & Wood Mallesons is advising Asciano Limited (Asciano) on its A$8.9bn sale to Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (Brookfield) by way of a scheme of arrangement.

Asciano is one of Australia’s largest logistics firms, incorporating Patrick Stevedoring, Pacific National and National Rail, as well as a number of other transport and supply-chain operations.

Kuoni Group sold its travel activities in India and its tour operator in Hong Kong to Thomas Cook (India) Ltd

Kuoni Group has sold its travel activities in India and its tour operator in Hong Kong to Thomas Cook (India) Ltd, a company active in the travel industry and listed on the national stock exchange of India in Mumbai. Thomas Cook India is majority-owned by Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd, a company listed on the Toronto Stock Ex-change. In 2014, Kuoni's travel activities in India and its tour operator in Hong Kong generated a turnover of CHF 284 million. All of the existing approximately 1,800 employees in India and Hong Kong are being transferred to Thomas Cook India.
