CMS advises euNetworks on its acquisition by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners

International law firm CMS, has advised CMS’ longstanding client euNetworks, a leading European bandwidth infrastructure provider, on its merger with investment firm Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners (“Stonepeak”). The transaction sees Stonepeak take a majority interest in euNetworks and the deal provides euNetworks with up to $500 million of committed growth capital for both organic and inorganic development.

Bird & Bird represents Easynet in Court of Appeal decision clarifying the law on Cross Border Mergers

International law firm Bird & Bird has successfully represented Easynet in the Court of Appeal, allowing the consolidation of multiple group companies under the Cross-Border Merger Regulations.

The Court of Appeal decision in Easynet Global Services Ltd [2018] EWCA Civ 10 (18 January 2018) has clarified the extent of the UK Court's discretion to approve mergers under the Cross-Border Merger Regulations.  This clears the way for multiple companies to be consolidated cross-border within the EU. 

Living wage joint venture to deliver 1,000 affordable new homes

CMS advises EBRD on public buildings energy efficiency improvement in Ukraine

CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang in Kyiv is pleased to announce that our law firm has recently advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on improvement of energy efficiency of public buildings in Ukraine. The city of Kremenchuk in central Ukraine is the first municipality to receive funding under the EBRD’s Public Sector Energy Efficiency Financing Framework (PSEEF). EBRD will provide loan financing of up to €7.5m and a €1.5m grant to the Communal Enterprise “Kremenchuk Municipal Energy Service Company”.
