We advised Greencoat Renewables (Greencoat) on its acquisition of the 36MW Drommada More wind farm from Impax Asset Management for €88.4 million.  The farm, which is expected to be formally commissioned in March 2018, will benefit from a full 15 years of REFIT-2 revenues, guaranteeing a minimum floor price for the electricity produced by the asset.

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Nordic Capital, a leading private equity investor in the Nordic region, and its portfolio company Luvata, on the sale of all operating divisions and facilities of the Luvata Group.

The sale was conducted as four separate transactions in 2016 and 2017, with the Special Products Division being sold to Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, the Heat Transfer Solutions Division to Modine Manfacturing Company, the Asian Tubes operations to Zhejiang Hailiang Co. Ltd and the North American Tubes operations to an investor group.

Paul, Weiss advised Chinese internet giant Tencent in its US$604 million investment in Vipshop Holdings Ltd, a major Chinese online discount apparel retailer. Under the terms of the agreement, Tencent and JD.com Inc,, China’s largest e-commerce firm, will invest an aggregate US$863 million cash into Vipshop and will grant Vipshop access to Tencent’s digital wallet platform and JD.com’s mobile application.  Tencent and JD.com will subscribe for newly issued Class A ordinary shares of Vipshop.
