DLA Piper is pleased to welcome Steve Dixon as a partner in the Tax Practice. He will be based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Dixon’s practice focuses on tax controversies and litigation, transfer pricing, and international tax. He has spent the last two decades litigating federal tax cases for both corporate and individual taxpayers, with his clients including Fortune 500 companies in high-profile trials before the Tax Court, the Court of Federal Claims, and in federal district court.

In line with its previously announced strategy, Greenberg Traurig, LLP has announced another senior addition to its London Finance & Restructuring Practice with the addition of a new Shareholder, Duncan Hubbard, who joins from Cadwalader. Alongside Duncan, William Lo will also join the firm as of counsel.

King & Spalding announces the return of structured finance partners Katie Weiss and Martin Eid to the firm. Eid has rejoined the firm effective immediately, and Weiss will return in the coming weeks. They join the Finance and Restructuring practice group in the New York office.

Badrov, who joins from Sherrard Kuzz, marks Littler’s third partner addition in Toronto in recent months, following the arrivals of Shana French and Stephen Shore.

Milbank LLP is pleased to announce the addition of James H. Weingarten as a partner in Washington, DC, further strengthening the firm’s Global Antitrust and Competition group and the firm’s broader Litigation group. Mr. Weingarten joins Milbank from the Federal Trade Commission, where he was most recently Chief Trial Counsel for the Bureau of Competition. As Chief Trial Counsel, he was one of the most senior trial lawyers representing the US government in antitrust matters. 

Bolstering its global private investment funds practice, Morgan Lewis is adding Leonora Shalet as a partner resident in New York. She joins from Schulte Roth & Zabel and will continue her focus on advising investment funds and investment advisers in connection with fund structuring, formation, and ongoing operational and compliance needs.

Cadwalader has added Christopher Horn, a widely recognized industry leader in the regulation of securitization transactions, as a partner in the firm’s New York office.

Jaclyn Rabin has joined Cooley’s fund formation practice group as a partner in the New York office. She will focus on advising private equity and venture capital clients on a broad range of fund formation matters. Rabin previously was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis; she also was chief compliance officer of Thrive Capital, a New York‐based venture capital firm focused on investments in internet, software and technology-enabled companies. Most recently, Jaclyn founded New Austin Venture Advisory, a Texas‐based provider of strategic, legal and operations support for asset managers.
