PARTNER MOVES - Duo of partner hires lead the charge as Hill Dickinson confirms new Birmingham base

International commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has announced the appointment of two new partners to its national corporate team. The hires form the vanguard of a new Birmingham-based presence for the firm, which over the next two months will also see real estate and real estate litigation teams join the office.

It comes as the business confirms it has secured over 2,500 sq ft of office space within the heart of the city, commencing operations in the historic Grade II-listed Louisa Ryland House from 1 February 2024.

Global law firm Clifford Chance has hired partners Ty'Meka M. Reeves-Sobers and Marcia Hook as it continues to grow the firm's global Energy & Infrastructure team in the US. Reeves-Sobers strengthens the firm's core environmental capabilities with her experience in environmental regulatory matters and transactions, as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) advisory work. Hook builds on the firm's energy offering with her energy regulatory, transactional and litigation experience. They join the Houston and Washington, DC offices, respectively.

PARTNER MOVES - Simmons hires debt capital markets specialist as partner

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced the hire of debt capital markets specialist Rory Renshaw as partner.

With extensive experience across a number of areas in debt capital markets (DCM), Rory joins the firm on promotion to partner, moving from City firm Linklaters.

Rory brings enduring relationships with clients across multiple sectors and jurisdictions, with his DCM expertise including institutional and retail bond offerings, emerging market transactions, and debt capital markets transactions for funds.

Mario is an IP and transactions specialist with extensive experience in the life sciences sector.
