PARTNER MOVES - Hogan Lovells expands its preeminent REIT practice with leading capital markets partner Jim Davidson

Global law firm Hogan Lovells announced that James “Jim” Davidson has joined as a capital markets partner in the firm’s preeminent and nationally recognized REIT practice, based in the Washington, D.C. and Houston offices. Davidson, who joins from Hunton Andrews Kurth, advises clients on REIT transactions, corporate governance, and securities market regulation, and represents clients in both U.S. and international capital markets matters.

Natalie joins Gateley Legal following 25 years at Eversheds Sutherland where she spent the last two years as national head of residential development and co-head of its living sector group.

Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Partner, Simon Kenyon, as International Head of its Technology Media and Telecoms (TMT) disputes practice with effect from 1 April 2025.

Simon joins the global law firm after almost 27 years at DLA Piper LLP, where he was Co-Lead of its International Technology Disputes practice, Co-Head of its UK Technology Disputes practice and Lead UK Litigation Partner in its India Group.

Winston & Strawn announced the addition of Stanislav (“Stan”) Kalminsky as a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He joins the Transactions Department where he will focus his practice on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and securities matters.

Stan has represented public and private companies, as well as private equity funds and their portfolio companies, in a variety of transactions, including mergers, stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, cross-border transactions, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, and restructurings.

Sidley is pleased to announce that Ian McGinley has joined the firm as a Securities Enforcement and Regulatory partner in the Regulatory and Enforcement practice group in New York. Mr. McGinley was most recently the Director of Enforcement for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). At Sidley, he will focus on regulatory enforcement and white-collar criminal defense, with a particular emphasis on commodities and securities laws. He will also advise clients in civil and criminal matters involving digital assets.
