PARTNER MOVES - White & Case Adds Leading Restructuring Team to Its New York and Chicago Offices

Global law firm White & Case LLP has added three new partners to its rapidly growing Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency (FRI) Practice in the US. Jessica Boelter and Bojan Guzina join the Firm’s FRI Practice in New York and Chicago, respectively, and Michael Andolina joins the Firm's Global Commercial Litigation Practice in Chicago. The move is a key component of the Firm's initiative to expand its company and sponsor-side work in the restructuring arena.

PARTNER MOVES - Reed Smith enhances Global Corporate Group with funds partner in London

Global law firm Reed Smith announces the hire of Shervin Shameli as partner in its Global Corporate Group and London office. This latest hire marks the tenth partner to join the firm’s Global Corporate Group across EME in 2020.

Shameli has over thirteen years’ experience in the funds space and joins from MJ Hudson, a specialist funds focused firm, where he was head of private funds at MJ Hudson Law. He has also previously worked at Proskauer Rose and SJ Berwin, and has undertaken secondments with Universities Superannuation Scheme and the European Investment Fund.

Elena Aguilar specialises in corporate law, focusing on domestic and international M&A. In recent years, she has been particularly active advising private equity funds.

Squire Patton Boggs continues the global expansion of its International Disputes Resolution (IDR) Practice with the addition of Michelle Glassman Bock, who joins the firm as a partner from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. Splitting her time between the firm’s Brussels and Washington DC offices, Ms. Bock is the latest addition to the firm’s IDR practice, which has recently hired team members in New York, London, Singapore, Dubai, and Milan and consists of more than 140 practitioners across 20 countries.
