Clifford Chance advises Eneco on EUR 100 million green loan agreement

Clifford Chance advised international renewable energy company Eneco on a ''green'' loan agreement of EUR 100 million with ING Groenbank, ASN Groenprojectenfonds and Triodos Groenfonds in order to finance some 50 renewable energy projects. It concerns the largest loan of its kind ever. Examples of renewable energy projects by Eneco in the Netherlands are a wind farm, a plant for heat/cold storage and a solar system for collective use.

WFW advises PNE WIND AG on the acquisition of the Siemens’ stake in WKN AG

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised PNE WIND AG on the acquisition of approximately 29.33% of shares in WKN AG (“WKN”) from Siemens Project Ventures GmbH (“Siemens”).

The acquisition of shares from Siemens sees PNE WIND AG increase its  stake in WKN to 82.75% and completes the acquisition of the majority shareholding in WKN, Husum, Germany.

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised BTG Pactual on the completion of its US$1.525 billion agreement with Petrobras International Braspetro B.V. ("PIBBV") to establish a joint venture for the exploration and production of oil and gas in Africa.  The transaction was completed on 28 June 2013.

Simmons & Simmons Advises ONGC Videsh and Oil India on US$2.475bn LNG Acquisition in Mozambique

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised ONGC Videsh Limited (“OVL”) and Oil India Limited (“OIL”) on the US$2.475 billion acquisition of Videocon Rovuma 1 Limited, the company holding a ten percent participating interest in the Rovuma Offshore Block in Mozambique (“Area 1”), from Videocon Mauritius Energy Limited.

Ashurst advises Oranje-Nassau Energie on Hanze and Pliocene acquisition

Ashurst has advised Oranje-Nassau Energie ("ONE") on its acquisition from Noble Energy, Inc. of a non-operated interest in the Hanze oil field and Pliocene gas field located in the Dutch North Sea.

The Ashurst team was led by Partner, Geoffrey Picton-Turbervill, with Associates Jubilee Easo and Tom Saint.

Pinsent Masons advises EnQuest on Tunisian oil field acquisition

International law firm Pinsent Masons advised EnQuest on the agreement to acquire Tunisian-based offshore assets for a mixture of upfront and contingent consideration totalling a maximum of $249m, as the oil producer expands into Africa for the first time.

UK-headquartered EnQuest will, when the deal completes, acquire 70 per cent of Tunisia's Didon oil field and Zarat permit in the Gulf of Gabes from PA Resources AB.
