Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP represented PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap (SERD) in connection with the development and financing of a geothermal facility in the Rantau Dedap geothermal working area in south Sumatra, Indonesia, with a gross capacity of 98.4 MW. SERD is a joint venture owned by French utility company ENGIE, Japan’s Marubeni Corporation and Indonesian geothermal energy producer PT Supreme Energy.

Ashurst has advised Massader for Natural Resources and Infrastructure Development Co, the energy and infrastructure arm of the Palestine Investment Fund ("PIF"), on the sale and purchase arrangements relating to the restructuring of rights in the development licence for the Gaza Marine gas field, located 30km off the coast of the Gaza Strip.

Clifford Chance advises Encavis on the acquisition of a 44 MW solar park in the Netherlands including the project financing

Clifford Chance Amsterdam has advised Encavis AG (formerly Capital Stage AG) on the acquisition of a construction-ready solar park with a total output of 43.9 megawatts (MW) in the Netherlands from Solarcentury by Encavis. The park is located near the city of Eindhoven. The solar park has taken out a debt financing from Rabobank to finance construction. Clifford Chance Amsterdam also acted as counsel to the Borrower jointly owned by SolarCentury and Encavis.

Ashurst advises Energy Australia on A$205m purchase of Ecogen

Ashurst has advised EnergyAustralia Investments Pty Ltd (EnergyAustralia), member of the EnergyAustralia group, on its A$205million purchase of all the issued shares in Ecogen Energy Pty Ltd (Ecogen).

Ecogen owns two gas power stations in Victoria, the Newport Power Station in Melbourne and the Jeeralang Power Station in the Latrobe Valley, which have a combined capacity of 950MW. This represents approximately 9% of Victoria's total generation capacity.

Dentons advises Tenaga Nasional Berhad on the refinancing of the Malaysian electricity utility's UK Feed-in Tariff wind portfolio

Dentons has advised Tenaga Nasional Berhad ("TNB"), one of the largest utility players in Asia, on the refinancing of the UK-based wind portfolio acquired by TNB's wholly owned subsidiary, Tenaga Wind Ventures UK Ltd, on 28 February 2018. The refinancing represents the first-ever overseas non-recourse project financing that TNB has undertaken.

CMS again advises Swiss energy supplier ewz on acquisition of another wind farm in France from the Nordex Group

Hamburg – Swiss energy supplier ewz has further expanded its wind farm portfolio by acquiring the Graincourt project in France. This is the third French wind farm in quick succession that the Zurich-based municipal company has acquired from the Nordex Group.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises Marubeni on sale of share in Westermost Rough Offshore Wind Farm

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Marubeni Corporation on the sale of its 25% shareholding in the 210MW Westermost Rough Offshore Wind Farm, located in the North Sea. The sale shares were acquired by Green Investment Group.

In connection with the sale, Norton Rose Fulbright also advised Marubeni Corporation on the refinancing of the existing loan facilities to the project and the prepayment of Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
