Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) on a landmark liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification project located in Tema, Ghana.

Under the structure of the deal, Gazprom Global LNG Limited, a global subsidiary of global energy giant PAO Gazprom (Gazprom), the world's largest gas producer, will supply LNG and convert it into gas through a regasification terminal at Tema, before selling the converted natural gas to GNPC.

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the ACG consortium comprising BP, Chevron, INPEX, Statoil, ExxonMobil, TP, ITOCHU and ONGC Videsh on the agreement with the Azerbaijan Government and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), to extend the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) until the end of 2049. The agreement, which was signed in Baku on 14 September, is now subject to ratification by the Parliament (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised international solar energy company Wirsol Energy (part of the WIRCON Group) on the acquisition of the 110 MWp Wemen Sun Farm, Victoria.
 
To be built over an area of 770 acres, the Wemen Sun Farm is located close to Mildura in Victoria. Wirsol expects to commence construction of the project during the last quarter of 2017.

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised S-OIL Corp, one of South Korea’s largest refiners, on a 15-year, long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply contract with Petronas LNG Ltd., a subsidiary of Malaysian state-owned enterprise Petroliam Nasional (PETRONAS).

As part of the agreement, which was signed on August 25, 2017, it is reported that S-OIL will buy 700,000 tonnes of LNG annually from Petronas from March 2018 through March 2033, which it plans to use as fuel to run plants and as a feedstock for petrochemical products.

The new company, Pan American Energy Group (PAEG), will be the largest privately owned integrated energy company operating in Argentina. PAEG will be owned equally by BP and Bridas.
