Shearman & Sterling Advises Citycon on Its €350 Million Eurobond Issue

Shearman & Sterling advised Citycon in connection with an offering of €350 million 1.250 percent guaranteed notes due 2026. The notes were issued by Citycon’s wholly owned subsidiary Citycon Treasury B.V. and guaranteed by Citycon.

The net proceeds of the offering will mainly be used to partially repay or refinance Citycon’s existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes, including the development of existing properties, the acquisition of new properties and an increase in investments in existing joint ventures.

CapMan, Varma and Cavendo have acquired Heron City

CapMan Nordic Real Estate, acting as lead investor, has together with Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Cavendo acquired Heron City from NIAM for approximately EUR 98 million.

Heron City is an approximately 49,400 square meter landmark retail center located in Kungens Kurva in Stockholm.

CapMan is a leading Nordic investment and asset management company, Varma is a pension insurance company that is one of the leading real estate investors in Finland and Cavendo is an independent investment advisory and asset management firm based in Stockholm.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises SRE Group Limited on RMB1.31 billion acquisition

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised SRE Group Limited on its RMB1.31 billion acquisition of an asset package from China New Town Development Company Limited.

The asset package comprises a portfolio of property projects mainly located in Shanghai Luodian New Town, including, among others, Lake Malaren Hospital Project, Lake Malaren Convention Centre, Crowne Plaza Lake Malaren Shanghai Hotel and Golf Clubhouse and Lake Malaren Silicon Valley Project.

Clifford Chance advised Kingspan Holding on the aquisition of Essmann Group from Quadriga.

Essmann Group is one of the leading European manufacturers and suppliers of sustainable lighting, natural ventilation and smoke management solutions for roofs and facades of non-residential buildings. The group currently employs more than 900 employees at their production sites in Bad Salzuflen, Lemgo, Detmold (all Germany) and Lyon (France).

Jacobs Engineering Acquires BAYQIK® Sulfuric Acid Converter Technology from Bayer AG

London – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it has advised Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. on the acquisition of the patent rights for BAYQIK® quasi-isothermal sulfuric acid converter technology and other related technology from Bayer AG.

BAYQIK technology enables more efficient conversion of process gas with high SO2 concentrations. Bayer developed, piloted and commercialized the technology over the past 10 years. A full-scale installation based on the technology has operated successfully for seven years.

Tripla Mall : Project Financing for the Construction of the Mall of Tripla

Castrén & Snellman acted as legal advisor to Tripla Mall Ky in relation to the project financing for construction of the Mall of Tripla. A consortium consisting of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Nordic Investment Bank, Danske Bank plc and Svenska Handelsbanken AB (publ) provided aggregate loans of approximately EUR 300 million for the project.

Mills & Reeve advises on £30m hotel deal at Manchester’s Trafford City

We have advised on a £30 million hotel development close to EventCity.

The hotel will be located at the corner of Barton Dock Road and Mercury Way and will be well connected to EventCity. The development is a joint venture between Marick Capital, Topland Group and Mill Lane Estates. The contractor is Bowmer & Kirkland and the land was acquired from Peel Land and Property.

Verdion develops logistics park outside Malmö

Verdion Properties has secured land and entered into construction and lease agreements for a major logistics facility in Staffanstorp just outside Malmö. The new facility will comprise 27,000 square meters of building area and will be used by a leading German car and motorcycle manufacturer to store and distribute spare parts for the Nordic market. Construction has just commenced and will be completed at the end of May 2017.
