Eversheds acted as legal advisor  to the Finnish software company Qvantel as the company signed a co-operation agreement with the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson. The signed agreement is remarkable and Qvantel estimates to recruit approx. 200 new employees in Finland due to the agreement.

Qvantel specializes in cloud-based business support solutions and the first joint delivery with Ericsson will be done for multi-national Vimpelcom Group.

DLA Piper has advised Proservia, a subsidiary of the global human resources provider ManpowerGroup, on an agreement to take over services provided from Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

This agreement forms part of ManpowerGroup's and Proservia's development strategy to be one of the top ten largest providers in the field of IT Managed Services. As a result of the expansion, over 900 employees of Hewlett Packard Enterprise will now be employed by Proservia in Germany.

The deal is believed to be the largest corporate transaction involving a UK-headquartered company to sign since the Brexit referendum.

TOKYO, July 2016 – Hogan Lovells' Tokyo corporate team advised Paris-listed Neopost Group ("Neopost"), a global leader in mailing, postage, parcel delivery and shipping services, on the formation of a joint venture between its group company Neopost Shipping S.A. and Yamato Transport Co Ltd ("Yamato Transport"), Tokyo-listed and Japan's largest parcel delivery company, to operate an open network of secure automated parcel lockers for the delivery of parcels in Japan.

We acted as legal advisor to SATO Corporation in an arrangement in which the company secured new EUR 400 million unsecured credit facilities. Nordea Bank Finland Plc acted as sole coordinating bookrunner and facility agent. The rest of the syndicate group consisted of Danske Bank A/S, Svenska Handelsbanken AB (publ), OP Corporate Bank plc and Swedbank AB (publ).
