Global law firm DLA Piper has advised the Australian Football League (AFL) on the landmark acquisition of Melbourne's Etihad Stadium.
The complex deal involved the acquisition of the operating business at Etihad Stadium, the freehold ownership of the stadium, acquisition finance, and the unwinding of a number of original development arrangements.
Göteborgs Spårvägar has entered into an agreement with a consortium consisting of Bombardier Transportation and Vossloh Kiepe for the purchase and delivery of 40 trams together with documentation, training, spare parts and equipment etc. In addition to the initial order, the contract includes an option to purchase up to 60 additional trams. The value of the initial order is approximately SEK 1.3 billion.
Sampension, one of Denmark’s largest pension providers, has announced the acquisition of 11 on-shore wind farms based in Germany and Sweden.
At a valuation of approx. DKK 1.4 billion, Sampension has acquired 100% of the shares in the renewable energy investment company NordEnergie Renewables A/S, which has subsequently been renamed Sampension Renewables P/S. The sellers comprise of private investors, including a number of Norwegian pension funds.

Malaysian developer, YTL's acquisition of the redundant 350 acre Filton airfield in Bristol has been heralded as Deal of the Year at the region's annual major property awards ceremony, which took place on 6 October. YTL's masterplan for the strategically critical brownfield site includes the development of over 2,500 homes and 62 acres of office and industrial development.

(“J&J”) in the purchase from AstraZeneca of the global rights to Rhinocort Aqua outside the U.S. by its subsidiary Cilag GmbH International. Rhinocort Aqua is a nasal spray indicated for allergic and non-allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the inside of the nose), and for the treatment of nasal polyps (swelling of the nasal lining). The active ingredient is the anti-inflammatory medicine, budesonide.
Nabarro has advised GSA (the global student accommodation leader) and GIC (Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund) on their acquisition of Threesixty Developments’ 7,150 bed UK student accommodation portfolio from Oaktree Capital Management. In addition to this, Nabarro acted for GSA on its acquisition of the operating platform of The Student Housing Company, one of the UK’s best-known student accommodation brands.
Game developer Massive Entertainment (Ubisoft Entertainment Sweden AB) has acquired a property in Malmö to house their studio. Sweden-based Massive Entertainment is the developer behind the world’s most-sold computer game this year, Tom Clancy’s The Division. The property, taking up an entire block in central Malmö, will house over 500 employees. Move-in is scheduled for 2019, following planned construction works and extensive renovations of the facility.
Verisure and Falck have just entered into a collaboration agreement on alarm systems for private customers and small traders in Denmark and Norway. Verisure acquired Falck's alarm customer portfolio and a number of operational assets in Denmark and Norway as a part of the deal. Plesner advised Verisure on the transaction.
Verisure's acquisition and the new collaboration with Falck means that Falck will still market and sell alarms in Denmark and Norway, but that in future Verisure will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the alarm systems.

The property is located in Orimattila, Finland, and it was completed in 2012-2013. Posti Group will continue its business operations in the property under a long-term lease.
