Addleshaw Goddard advises Inflexion on its acquisition of GfK's animal & crop health division

Addleshaw Goddard's Corporate team has advised private equity house, Inflexion on their acquisition of leading market research group GfK's global animal & crop health division.

Inflexion have jointly acquired the division of GfK, alongside the current management team led by Stephen Hearn. The deal is expected to close in early 2016, and will strengthen the animal & crop health division as its continues to innovate and grow.

The AG team was led by Corporate Partner, Andy Green with support from Duncan Wilson, Rabia Burton, George Danczak and Lisa Woodberry.

Hogan Lovells Advises TSB Bank plc to Acquire £3.3bn of Former Northern Rock Mortgages and Loans

Hogan Lovells has acted as legal adviser to TSB Bank plc (TSB) to acquire £3.3 billion of former Northern Rock mortgages and loans from Cerberus Capital Management group (Cerberus).

The portfolio comprises residential mortgages (and linked unsecured loans) from the legacy book of NRAM plc (the former Northern Rock mortgage business), which UK Asset Resolution Limited (UKAR) has today confirmed will be sold to Cerberus.

Gide has advised an investment fund managed by Swiss Life Reim on the acquisition of a portfolio of seven hotels from Chequers Partenaires and Honotel Développement.

DLA Piper advised Tilad on the acquisition of a Hermes logistics centre in Löhne

DLA Piper has advised Tilad, a multi-family office headquartered in Dubai, on the acquisition of a Hermes logistics centre in Löhne, a district of Herford, which is currently still under construction. The seller, ECE, will remain as construction manager and owner of the project until its scheduled completion in 2016.

The Danish pension funds AP Pension and PBU acquire 19 windmill farms

GPP Vind owned by AP Pension and Pædagogernes Pensionskasse (PBU) acquires 19 small windmill farms from Vattenfall. Plesner has assisted GPP Vind with the acquisition.

GPP Vind acquires 19 small windmill farms in Jutland, Denmark, with a total capacity of 65 MW from the Swedish energy company Vattenfall. GPP Vind is a subsidiary in the Green Power Partners II group and is owned by AP Pension and PBU.

Hengeler Mueller advises LEG on acquisition of residential portfolio from Vonovia

LEG Immobilien AG has signed an agreement in principle about the acquisition of a portfolio of around 13,800 residential units in North Rhine-Westphalia from Vonovia SE. The purchase price for the portfolio amounts to approximately 600 million euros. The concentrated portfolio strengthens the presence and the leading market position of LEG in its core markets in North Rhine-Westphalia. For the future, LEG is considering the implementation of an equity measure for financing the equity portion.

("Cinda"), a leading distressed investor in China, on the acquisition of all the rights and benefits of, including certain liabilities owed to, the seller in relation to a real estate development project in China from GuocoLand (China) Limited, a company incorporated in Bermuda, for a total cash consideration of RMB10.5 billion (US$1.6 billion).

McDermott Will & Emery Advises on Major Hospitality Transaction in Germany and the Netherlands

McDermott advised the Blackstone Group and Event Hospitality Group on the successful acquisition of 29 hotels in Germany and The Netherlands for a total value of $260,000,000 from Accor Hotels, a leading European hospitality company. The hotel portfolio acquired is comprised of 18 hotels (2,167 rooms) in Germany and 11 hotels (1,187 rooms) in The Netherlands.

The portfolio comprises 2 ibis budget, 11 ibis, 12 Mercure and 4 Novotel hotels. The deal is subject to merger control clearance in Germany and The Netherlands.

Morgan Asset Management - Real Global Assets together with Proximus Real Estate AG has acquired a historic landmark building in Cologne's central banking district with appr. 35,000 sqm located in the immediate vicinity of Cologne's cathedral. Main tenant of the building is Deutsche Bank AG alongside other financial institutions.
