Clifford Chance has advised Allianz Real Estate, Stuttgart, on the acquisition of Düsseldorf's "Kö-Galerie" for several insurance companies belonging to Allianz Group. The sellers are investment funds managed by US investment company Blackstone as well as ECE; Hamburg, a company specialized in operating shopping centres. The purchase price amounts to approx. EUR 300 million. The transaction is subject to the approval by the competent antitrust authorities.

Trowers & Hamlins has advised Kames Capital on the purchase of a portfolio of four UK investment assets from Development Securities.

The portfolio, purchased for £21 million, includes a retail parade in Bexleyheath, Kent; a shopping arcade in Carmarthen, Wales; a retail park in Port Talbot, Wales; and a retail warehouse in Crewe, Cheshire.  The portfolio has been split between a number of  Kames funds, including the newly established Kames Property Income Fund, a PAIF.

Under the terms of the deal, the team will become the 22nd MLS franchise, and will begin playing in 2017 when a new US $1.2 billion multi-purpose stadium next to the Georgia Dome is scheduled to open. The team is currently unnamed, but its colors will likely be red, black and gold

Hill Dickinson has advised NewRiver Retail, one of the UK’s leading REITs and the UK’s third largest owner of shopping centres, on the leasing of 54 public houses (pubs) to The Co-Operative Group for its convenience stores format. The pubs were part of the public house portfolio which was acquired last year by NewRiver Retail in their joint venture partnership with a fund managed by Pacific Investment Management Company.

White & Case LLP has advised the Consortium led by Hong Kong listed MMG Limited on the US$5.85 billion acquisition of the Las Bambas copper project in Peru from Glencore Xstrata plc.

The acquisition is subject to a number of condition precedents including approval of MMG shareholders of the transaction as a very substantial acquisition.

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Swiss power plant operator KKB AG (“KKB”) on the acquisition of the “Selmsdorf III” wind farm from the project developer BayWa r.e..

The wind farm, developed and operated by BayWa r.e., is located in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, close to the Baltic Sea in North Germany. It is equipped with four Enercon wind turbines and has a total installed capacity of 9.2 MW.
