Norton Rose Fulbright advises ACOFI on the acquisition of two wind farms in France

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised ACOFI Gestion, private asset management company, on the acquisition of two wind farms in France totaling a capacity of 30MW from RES, one of the world’s leaders in renewable energy projects development. The assets consist of 15 wind turbines located in region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France.

ACOFI has acquired the entirety of these two wind farms through its France Energy Transition fund dedicated to investments in renewables.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises Kanoria group member Advinia Health Care on its acquisition of 22 UK care homes from Bupa

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has Advinia Health Care Limited (Advinia Health Care), a nursing and residential care provider, on its agreement to acquire 22 care homes in England and Scotland from Bupa.

The transfer will at completion grow Advinia’s portfolio from 16 to 38 care homes across the United Kingdom, placing it amongst the top 15 care providers in the region. The agreement, which was signed on 14 October, remains subject to regulatory approval by the Care Quality Commission and the Care Inspectorate.

Bond Dickinson advises Akelius on £73m residential acquisition in London

Bond Dickinson has advised its client Akelius, a global leader in real estate and residential property, on the acquisition of a major portfolio in London.

The acquisition relates to the purchase of 19 blocks comprising 395 apartments for an agreed price of over £73 million.

Led by Real Estate Partner Nigel Emmerson and Managing Associate Emma Garfit, the transaction involved a large team of 20 lawyers who advised on all aspects of the purchase providing planning, taxation and corporate legal expertise.

Davis Polk Advises CIC Capital on the Acquisition of Equis Energy’s Renewable Energy Portfolio

Davis Polk is advising CIC Capital in connection with the proposed acquisition, in conjunction with Global Infrastructure Partners and certain other co-investors, of 100% of the equity interests in the wind and solar renewable energy portfolio of Equis Energy for $3.7 billion. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory closing conditions and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018.

DLA Piper advises on £71.4m purchase of Bristol distribution centre

DLA Piper has acted for a consortium of South Korean institutional investors in their purchase of a long leasehold interest in Tesco’s distribution centre at Avonmouth for £71.4 million from NFU Mutual Insurance Society. Other advisers on the buy side included Carey Olsen, Samil PwC, Roebuck Asset Management and SEA Capital.

The team at DLA Piper was led by Real Estate partner Rob O'Hanrahan and Real Estate Finance partner Laurence Rogers, with Tax partner Neville Wright and International Transfer Pricing Co-head Joel Cooper also advising.
