WFW advises BPER Banca on Rimorchiatori Napoletani financing

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) advised BPER Banca S.p.A. (“BPER”) on a €6m+ financing for Italian maritime operator Rimorchiatori Napoletani S.r.l. (“Rimorchiatori Napoletani”) to partially finance the construction of two tug boats built at Turkey’s “Sanmar Denizcilik Makina ve Ticaret AS” shipyard.

The first tugboat, the “Marechiaro”, has already been delivered and registered under an Italian flag. The second will be delivered by the end of December 2017.

Shearman & Sterling Advises Lenders on the Development and Financing of the 350 MW India Solar Power Project

Shearman & Sterling advised Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Mizuho Bank as lenders and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) in relation to the development and financing of the 350 MW solar power project in Andhra Pradesh, India. SBG Cleantech ProjectCo Private Limited (SBG Cleantech), an Indian subsidiary of SoftBank Group Corp., is the developer of the project.

On November 17, 2017, the SUSI Energy Storage Fund (SESF) signed a CAD$120 million financing facility with Canadian energy storage solutions provider NRStor C&I L.P.

The deal opens the door to investment projects featuring top-tier lithium-ion energy storage technology that will provide behind-the-meter services to commercial and industrial customers, lessening fossil fuel dependence through the use of cleaner, emission-free renewable energy.

Global law firm White & Case has advised J.P. Morgan as Global Co-Ordinator, together with Banca IMI, Santander, Banca Akros and Kommunalkredit, on a landmark project bond financing for the construction of the Superstrada Pedemontana Veneta toll road in the Veneto region of Italy.

The transaction comprises the issuance of €1.221 billion variable rate senior secured amortizing notes and €350 million step-up subordinated secured notes in an innovative "bond only" capital structure where the junior notes provide a capital cushion during the construction phase.

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Wind Energy Holdings (WEH), one of the largest wind power operators in Southeast Asia, as sponsor on the development and construction of 5x90MW wind farm projects in the Nakhon Ratchasima province of Thailand and Siam Commercial Bank on the financing of those projects.

Norton Rose Fulbright assisted WEH on the negotiations of key project documents including the turbine supply agreements and other infrastructure contracts and also led for the lenders, Siam Commercial Bank, on the project financing of those projects.
