Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co has advised Formation Capital LLC, a leading private investment management firm, on its acquisition of the NHP Group, for £477.7 million.

Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co's 35-lawyer team was led by the head of private sector healthcare Karima Hudson, Christine Jackson and David Hayward (partners, real estate) and Jon Lent (partner, finance). The team worked alongside international law firm Skadden on the deal.

DWF advises on funding for central Leeds office scheme

DWF has advised Roydhouse Properties on the forward funding of Central Square, Leeds. The development, which will be funded by M&G Real Estate, in conjunction with Marrico LLP and Roydhouse Properties, marks the first speculative office scheme in Leeds for eight years and demonstrates progression in the provision of Grade ‘A’ office space in the region. The 11-storey office scheme is located between Wellington Street and Whitehall Road, and is only a short walk from City Square and Leeds Railway station, occupying a prime site in the Leeds office district.

Hengeler Mueller advises MSRE and Madison on Refinancing of Trianon

The Trianon skyscraper in Frankfurt owned by funds managed by Morgan Stanley Real Estate and Madison International Realty was refinanced by Helaba. The building comprises 66,000 square metres on 47 floors.

Hengeler Mueller advised Morgan Stanley Real Estate and Madison International Realty on the refinancing. The Hengeler Mueller team included partner Martin Geiger (London) and counsel Alex Gehringer as well as associate Bernhard Quensel (both Frankfurt) (all Financing).

Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co Real Estate team secures £127 million financing for Kennedy Wilson

Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co has advised Kennedy Wilson on a refinancing facility with GE Real Estate Loans Limited worth £127 million.

The firm's Commercial Development and Investment (CDI) team, alongside the Retail, Energy, Leisure and Management (RELM) team, assisted Kennedy Wilson, an LSE listed company which invests in real estate and real estate loans in Europe, on the transaction.

Freshfields advises Westfield on a CMBS Refinancing of the Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised Westfield on a £750m CMBS refinancing of the Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre. The transaction was the largest agency CMBS in the UK this year and was rated “AAA” by both Fitch and DBRS.

Westfield Stratford City is situated adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and is the largest urban retail and leisure destination in Europe.

The Freshfields team was led by finance partner Chris Barratt alongside senior associate Sabah Nawaz. Tax advice was provided by partner Colin Hargreaves.

Dentons advises on another major CEE cross-border deal in the logistics sector

Dentons’ Global Real Estate team acted as legal counsel to P3, the specialist owner, developer and manager of European logistics properties, on the acquisition of a portfolio of three logistics parks, two of which are located in Poland and one in Romania, from CA Immobilien Anlagen AG. The portfolio totals 467,000 sq.m. of lettable area. The transaction also includes approximately 165 hectares of land for development, principally in Poland and Romania.

Advising Aareal Bank AG and PBB Deutsche PfandBriefBank in connection with the senior refinancing of the office tower “Tour First” located in Paris la Défense, held by a Beacon Capital Partners fund, for an amount of 515 million euros and with the negotiation of an additional mezzanine debt with Blackstone for an amount of 60 million euros.

The debt fund Senior European Loan Fund 1, managed by AEW Europe and M&G Investments, are the other financial partners in the context of this transaction.

Advising Aareal Bank AG in connection with the financing of the acquisition of the office building “32 Blanche” by Oxford Properties Group, the real estate division of Omers, from a real estate fund managed by The Carlyle Group for an amount of approximately 263 million euros.
