Ashurst advises founding shareholders of Joyou AG on share exchange with Grohe

Ashurst advised the founding shareholders of Joyou AG, Mr Jianshe Cai and Mr Jilin Cai, on the conclusion of a new shareholders' agreement with the Grohe Group. The aim of the agreement is to build up a stronger cooperation of both companies in order to establish a global market-leading position in the sanitary industry as well as to operate worldwide under the two brands, Grohe and Joyou.

SNR Denton Advises UK Government on Carbon Capture and Storage Competition

SNR Denton has advised the Department of Energy and Climate Change on its Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Commercialisation Programme Competition, which today announced two preferred bidders from an original field of eight. They are the Peterhead Project in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and the White Rose Project in Yorkshire, England.

CCS technology, if developed at scale, could allow the safe removal and storage of harmful carbon emissions from coal and gas fired power stations and heavy industry, to help the UK meet its climate change targets.

SH advises Lion Air on largest order of Airbus aircraft in aviation history

International law firm Stephenson Harwood has advised Lion Air on the world's largest ever airline order, comprising of 234 Airbus - A320 and A321 aircraft (including Airbus' new NEO aircraft), and valued at US$24 billion.

The order was formalised at a signing ceremony in Toulouse, overseen by the President of France, Mr Francois Hollande.

DAC Beachcroft Advises Finance Wales On New Funds

A team of eight lawyers from international law firm DAC Beachcroft has advised the Finance Wales Group on a number of new funds, which have closed in the past month. The firm was appointed to Finance Wales’ panel of legal advisers in 2012.

DAC Beachcroft advised Finance Wales on the tendering process for the management of the Welsh Government’s new Wales Life Sciences Fund as well as on the contractual arrangements put in place with Arthurian Life Sciences, which won the tender to manage the £100 million fund.
