Ocado - agreement with Morrisons

Slaughter and May is advising Ocado Group plc ('Ocado') on a 25-year agreement with Wm Morrison Supermarket plc ('Morrisons') to license certain technology, logistics and distribution services to enable Morrisons to launch and develop its online grocery business. In addition, Ocado has agreed to sell to Morrisons assets and a half of its existing capacity in its Dordon Customer Fulfilment Centre (the 'Dordon CFC').

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised long-standing Chinese oil and gas client, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) on the acquisition of additional interests in the Queensland Curtis LNG project, Australia (QCLNG) and new exploration acreage in the Bowen Basin and CNOOC on the purchase of increased volumes of Liquid Natural Gas (LNG).

Linklaters advises on Green Deal fundraising

Linklaters has advised The Green Deal Finance Company (TGDFC) on its establishment and financing agreements.

The initial fundraising programme successfully closed this week. It includes £65 million of subordinated financing from key stakeholders in TGDFC, including industry participants, together with financing from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and a senior finance facility of £125 million from the UK Green Investment Bank.

Field Fisher Waterhouse advises Department for Transport on £1.6bn search and rescue service contract

European law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse has advised the Department for Transport on a £1.6bn contract to provide Britain's 'blue light' helicopter search and rescue service.

The Department for Transport awarded the 10 year contract to Bristow Helicopters Limited.    The rescue service is currently run by the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy and the Maritime & Coastguard Agency.   Bristow plans to replace the current Sea King and civilian helicopters with new models.
