Dentons provides complex legal advice to BlaBlaCar

Dentons acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to BlaBlaCar, the world's largest long-distance ridesharing community, in connection with the activity on the Ukrainian market. Dentons team advised as to various complex legal issues of Ukrainian law, including on issues of electronic commerce, data and consumer protection, regulatory requirements, tax, and liability.

Dentons team was led by Kyiv partner Natalia Selyakova with significant input from associates Ksenia Ostrovska and Artem Lukyanov.

Law firm helps npower to fight fuel poverty

Following research conducted by the energy company into the scale of fuel poverty across the South East of England, Shakespeare Martineau advised npower on all aspects of setting up an independent charity to provide emergency support to those experiencing a fuel crisis.

Greenberg Traurig represented Emperia Holding S.A. in signing an investment agreement with MAXIMA GRUPE, UAB. On that basis, MAXIMA announced a tender offer for 100 percent of shares in Emperia.

The agreement finalizes the strategic investor selection process for the company that was initiated in May 2017. The tender offer is subject to customary anti-trust approval and certain other conditions, including a 66 percent acceptance threshold and a successful voting on the amendment of the company's articles of association.

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) in connection with its acquisition of a participation in the Maersk Tankers fleet of refined oil tankers.

Norton Rose Fulbright advised Mitsui on the establishment of consortium arrangements between Mitsui and A.P. Moller Holding and on the acquisition by Mitsui of its shareholding in that consortium, which will own the Maersk Tankers fleet.

CMS Switzerland has advised INEOS, one of the world's largest manufacturers of chemicals and oil products, on the acquisition of FC Lausanne-Sport, a Swiss historic football club. CMS has handled all M&A aspects of the transaction. It has also advised FC Lausanne-Sport in connection with the approval process by the Swiss Football League. The deal comes after years of investment by INEOS in youth and community sports in Canton Vaud, Switzerland, where the company has the headquarters of many of its businesses. The transaction is subject to approval by the Swiss Football League.
