Linklaters has advised Accugas Limited (“Accugas”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Seven Energy International Limited a leading integrated gas company in Nigeria, on a long term gas sales agreement (the “GSA”), and an accompanying World Bank group credit support package, for the supply of gas to Calabar Generation Company (“Calabar”), one of Nigeria’s National Integrated Power Projects.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Austria-based Oberbank AG on a financing framework agreement with banks in the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is the first agreement of its kind between a European credit institution and Iranian banks since the easing of sanctions at the beginning of 2016.

Dentons has advised Blue Code International AG on the tax implications of launching Blue Code in Germany. The payment solution, which allows users to make cashless payments using their mobile phone, will be piloted at the world-famous Oktoberfest in Munich. Blue Code is already well established in Austria, and is available at numerous retailers, including the REWE supermarkets. The implementation marks an important step in the company’s strategy to enter the German market.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises the ACG consortium on extension of the ACG PSA in Azerbaijan

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the ACG consortium comprising BP, Chevron, INPEX, Statoil, ExxonMobil, TP, ITOCHU and ONGC Videsh on the agreement with the Azerbaijan Government and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), to extend the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) until the end of 2049. The agreement, which was signed in Baku on 14 September, is now subject to ratification by the Parliament (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
