Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Casino on the creation with Conforama of an international joint company named 'SICA'.
The company will also include other Steinhoff International Group entities to create a purchasing alliance with a global reach. The new company will be operational for 2017 purchasing negotiations.
Hannes Snellman has been engaged as counsel to YIT Corporation in the Tripla hotel project. YIT has signed a letter of intent on the implementation of the hotel for the Tripla project in Central Pasila, Helsinki. The hotel will be operated by Sokotel Oy, and the investor will be a new limited partnership managed by Exilion Management Oy with Elo Pension Company and Suomen Osuuskauppojen Keskuskunta as owners. The intention is to sign the final project agreements in early 2017. The hotel is scheduled for completion in early 2020.
The ÖBB's decision to award the contract to Bombardier was checked and amended at Stadler's request: The passenger service subsidiary of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) issued an invitation to tender, calling for bids for the conclusion of a framework agreement regarding the purchase of up to 300 commuter trains with an estimated procurement volume of approximately EUR 2 billion. The Canadian company Bombardier was to be awarded the contract.
The Soho House hotel chain has stepped into the Spanish market with the opening of its first establishment in Barcelona. The transaction was possible thanks to a joint-venture partnership between the Soho House Group and Orca Holding.
Located on the Barcelona seafront, the hotel opens its doors after extensive renovation of a property acquired from Residencial Paseo Colón S.L. A total €60 million was invested to buy and renovate the building as a hotel.
