Baker McKenzie advised NovaWind on joint venture with Lagerwey

Baker McKenzie has advised NovaWind, the division of State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom responsible for Russia’s renewable energy program, on its joint venture with Dutch wind turbine manufacturer Lagerwey.

The joint venture, Red Wind, is responsible for the marketing, distribution, and after-sale support of Lagerwey wind turbines. Red Wind also plans to localize the manufacturing of wind turbines at NovaWind's facilities in Russia and intends to supply 400 turbines to wind parks by 2022.

Shoosmiths advises video game developer Firesprite on exclusive PlayStation VR deal for The Persistence

The Intellectual Property & Creative Industries team at Shoosmiths has advised leading video game development studio Firesprite Ltd on an exclusive license and distribution agreement with global interactive entertainment giant Sony.

Headed by partner Laura Harper, Shoosmiths' IP & Creative Industries experts have advised Firesprite on a major licensing and worldwide digital and disc distribution deal for its new virtual reality game The Persistence.

The team also provided advice on brand protection and trade mark registrations.

Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, has advised Canadian headquartered Stella Natural Resources Inc (SNR) in relation to the recently announced agreement with Australian Pacific Coal Limited (AQC) to establish the Dartbrook Mine incorporated joint venture.

Under the agreement, SNR will acquire a 50% interest in the Dartbrook project for A$20 million, and SNR and AQC will establish the Dartbrook joint venture to develop and operate the mine.
