Mannheimer Swartling has assisted Darko Perván and certain family members, and their companies, who jointly are majority owners in Välinge International AB, in a transaction whereby they will maintain more than 50 % of the shares in the Välinge group and the investment firm KKR will own the remaining shares. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

DLA Piper advised on a significant investment in Latin America by one of the world's largest energy companies, Total S.A., which acquired a majority interest in a leading fuel retailer in the Dominican Republic. DLA Piper advised Putney Capital Management, an asset management firm, in the sale of a 70 percent interest to Total S.A., a global integrated energy producer and provider and leading international oil and gas company based in Paris. Putney Capital Management will retain a 30 percent stake and will continue to play an important role as Total's local partner.

White & Case LLP has advised Kontron AG on the launch of a strategic partnership with Ennoconn Corp., a subsidiary of Taiwanese Foxconn Technology Group.

German-listed Kontron is a global leader in embedded computing technology. Ennoconn is a Taiwan-based company engaged in the manufacture and sale of embedded systems and boards. The strategic partnership includes Ennoconn's acquisition of a 49 percent stake in Kontron  subsidiary Kontron Canada Inc. at a price of US$ 57.3 million. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory and corporate approvals.

A cross-border KWM team has advised Costa Group on the successful establishment of a joint venture (JV) with US based Driscoll’s, to create a berry production company operating in China. The JV will see Costa taking 70% ownership with Driscoll’s taking up the other 30%.

The JV builds on Costa’s existing successful equally owned JV with Driscoll’s in Australia which over the last six years has grown to be the number one marketer of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries in Australia.
