Macfarlanes advises a consortium of Stanhope, Mitsui and AIMCo on a major letting at White City Place to Novartis

Macfarlanes has advised a consortium of Stanhope, Mitsui and AIMCo on the letting of 54,000 square feet of office space at White City Place in west London to multinational pharmaceutical company Novartis for its new UK headquarters.

White City Place (formerly the BBC Media Village) is gaining traction as a hub for technology and innovation within life sciences, with 1.9m square feet of office space sitting alongside Imperial College’s new White City Campus.

Macfarlanes provides construction advice on the luxury Regent’s Crescent redevelopment

Macfarlanes has advised Regent’s Crescent Property Holding (Lease B) Limited on the construction aspects of the redevelopment of the John Nash designed, Grade 1 listed, Regent’s Crescent into over 70 luxury apartments and mews houses.

Macfarlanes has advised on the letting of the building contract to JRL Group and the construction aspects of the subsequent sharia complaint financing of the development with a value of more than £350m.

Group Nike has officially announced it will open its flagship store at 79, Avenue des Champs-Élysées, within an Art Deco-style building belonging to Groupama Immobilier.

At this new address, the American brand will develop its House of Innovation concept in a sales area covering 4,300 sq.m. and which will include labs to customise each model, digital experience areas, VIP spaces, private coaching by the world's best athletes, digital services to find a product or a size, and collect a product or have it delivered.

Clifford Chance advises joint venture between Helical plc and Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan on hat-trick of lettings at Creechurch Place, London

Clifford Chance has acted for the joint venture between Helical plc and Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) in relation to a trio of recent lettings at One Creechurch Place in the City of London to Softcat plc, West of England Ship Owners Mutual Insurance Company and Dell Corporation. The 272,500 square foot building, which is located in the heart of the City of London's insurance and financial district, is now close to being fully let with only one floor remaining.

Travers Smith advises on 50,000 sq ft pre-let for Beazley

Travers Smith LLP has advised Beazley Management Limited on the pre-let of its proposed new office space on levels 12 and 13 of Twentytwo Bishopsgate.

The lease will be granted by AXA for a 15 year term, and is due to be completed following the completion of the 62 storey office tower – currently scheduled for late 2019.

The Travers Smith team was led by Head of Real Estate Simon Rutman and Associate Charlotte Fletcher.

Dentons Rodyk advises HubSpot on its additional office opening at Mapletree Anson

Dentons Rodyk is acting for HubSpot, a New York Stock Exchange-listed software products developer, on the lease of office space in Mapletree Anson, its Asia Pacific headquarters located in the central business district of Singapore.

The deal was led by Real Estate Senior Partner Woon Ee Tang with Corporate Senior Partner S. Sivanesan and Senior Associate Jean Nie Ho advising HubSpot on the corporate aspects of the transaction.

CMS ADVISES BATTERSEA POWER STATION ON FINAL OFFICE PRE-LET FOR LAUNCH OF LUXURY PRIVATE MEMBERS CLUB

International law firm CMS has advised Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) on its pre-let agreement with IWG, the world’s largest serviced office group, to lease 40,000 sq ft of office space to luxury private members club, No18. The deal marks the final pre-let of office space for Battersea Power Station, which will also be home to tech giant Apple when it opens in 2021.
