King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin has acted on a series of recent high profile lettings at 10 Brock Street, Regent's Place for British Land.

10 Brock Street is now the new London headquarters for a diverse set of major occupiers such as Debenhams, Facebook, Manchester City Football Club and Whitefoord LLP.  The highest rent achieved was £71.00 per sq ft.

Speedflex To Launch In Leeds As UK Expansion Continues

Fast-growing fitness company, Speedflex, has announced that it is to open its latest site in Leeds city centre in spring 2014.

Speedflex Leeds has agreed a 10 year lease on a 5,000 sq ft ground floor unit at 102 Wellington Street.

The space will be the third licenced Speedflex centre in the UK and the first time that the innovative fitness training system arrives in Yorkshire. Its other two sites are currently in the City of London and Newcastle upon Tyne.

Irwin Mitchell Leeds Completes Double Deal For JF Finnegan

JF Finnegan has secured two new tenants at its Elizabeth House office building on Queen Street in Leeds with the support of Irwin Mitchell.  The Leeds office of the national law firm advised the developer on the two deals which total 6,652 sq ft. Stanley Davis Group and The Leeds, York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce will move into the building on five year leases.

Burges Salmon advises Merseyrail Electrics on rolling stock arrangements

Burges Salmon have advised Merseyrail Electrics 2002 Limited (Merseyrail) on a suite of contracts required to extend the lease of its rolling stock units.

A Burges Salmon team, led by rail partner Brioney Thomas with assistance from solicitor Lydia Bailey, advised Merseyrail in relation to the extension of its lease of the class 507/508 rolling stock units, to the end of 2018, with a potential further extension of up to year.

Mayer Brown advises on Bankside office deal

Mayer Brown has advised Boodle Hatfield LLP on its move to new offices in London’s Bankside. The law firm will be taking 24,000 square feet at 240 Blackfriars Road, London SE1, in addition to an office in Mayfair.

Boodle Hatfield will take two ten year leases for the ninth and tenth floors.

The Bankside property is being developed in one of London’s fastest developing areas by the Great Ropemaker Partnership, a 50:50 joint venture between Great Portland Estates and Ropemaker Properties, the property nominee of the BP Pension Fund.

Mayer Brown advises Puma on 10 year pre-let at Sea Containers House

Mayer Brown has advised Puma, the German manufacturer of athletic shoes, footwear, and other sportswear, on a 10-year pre-let of Sea Containers House on London’s South Bank.

The space, which will form Puma’s UK new headquarters, will comprise over 20,000 square feet over three floors of the South Building (a newly-built annex to Sea Containers). Puma is relocating from its current base at the Heal’s Building on Tottenham Court Road, W1.

Pinsent Masons advises Miller Cromdale on Aberdeen Food Standards Agency Letting

Pinsent Masons has advised Miller Cromdale on the pre-let of two floors of its Pilgrim House office scheme in Aberdeen to the Food Standards Agency.

The Government agency has taken 12,700 sq ft of grade A office space at the scheme, construction of which is due to start in January ahead of an anticipated completion in September 2014. The lease coincides with the Parliamentary stages of the establishing of the FSA’s successor body, Food Standards Scotland.

Burges Salmon helps with the transformation of Wakefield Kirkgate railway station

Rail experts from Burges Salmon have acted for the regeneration charity, Groundwork Wakefield, negotiating the terms of a long-term lease to it of Wakefield Kirkgate railway station from Network Rail.

Groundwork Wakefield has raised £4.6 million for the ‘transformation’ of Wakefield Kirkgate station, which was named one of the "worst in Britain" in 2009, by the then transport secretary Lord Adonis.

Shearman & Sterling Represents Warner Music Group Corp. in New Headquarters Lease

Shearman & Sterling represented Warner Music Group Corp., the largest American-owned music conglomerate in the world, in a lease transaction for its new headquarters at the Paramount Plaza Building, located at 1633 Broadway in New York City. The new lease covers approximately 288,000 square feet of office space, with options to lease additional space. The initial lease term commences on January 1, 2014 and expires on July 31, 2029, with an option for Warner to extend the lease for either five or 10 years.
