CMS Budapest advises Goodman on Auchan’s large-scale logistics development project

CMS has advised Goodman, an Australian integrated commercial and industrial property group on the development of a 87,200 sqm greenfield logistics facility, which will be the largest of its kind ever built in Hungary.

The building is let to Auchan and will handle Auchan Retail Hungary’s food and non-food logistics for both existing and planned new stores, while also supporting the company’s online commerce countrywide.

CMS assisted Goodman in relation to the construction aspects and the letting of the building.

CMS has advised Goodman, an Australian integrated commercial and industrial property group on the development of a 87,200 sqm greenfield logistics facility, which will be the largest of its kind ever built in Hungary.

Ashurst advised 2L-Invest SA, a company of the Cerberus Capital Management (Cerberus)-group, on the sale of its long-term leasehold rights on the building Place de Louvain 12 to a Luxembourg real estate investor. The 19th century style office building is located in the heart of Brussels and offers a general leasable area of approximately 3,000 square meters and is fully let to the Flemish Community. The real estate investor acquired the long-term lease right through an asset sale.

Ashurst advised the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) on the negotiation of the lease agreement for its new headquarters at Belliard 40 in Brussels.

Cefic has signed a long-term lease agreement with owner Cofinimmo for over 6,000 m² of office space in a brand new project in the heart of the European institutions neighbourhood.

The Ashurst Brussels team was led by real estate partner David Du Pont. He was assisted by associate Clément Dekemexhe.

DLA Piper advises Tishman Speyer on rental agreement with Naspers

DLA Piper has advised the international project developer and fund manager, Tishman Speyer, on the leasing of 9,500 square meters of its recently acquired "Pressehaus am Alexanderplatz," located on Karl Liebknecht Strasse, to the international internet and entertainment group Naspers.

The second major rental agreement in the building has been signed with Naspers and the tower is now fully let. The revitalisation of the building "Pressehaus" will be completed in 2019, and offers loft character office space of approximately 22,000 square meters.

DLA Piper advises landlord on major lease expansion in famed Minneapolis central business district

DLA Piper represented the landlord in the negotiation of a lease expansion agreement that resulted in over 214,000 rentable square feet being leased to SPS Commerce at 333 South Seventh Street in Minneapolis and the building being renamed SPS Tower.

The 31-story building is a renowned fixture in the Minneapolis skyline and one of the prime buildings in the city's famed central business district. The landlord is a public pension fund with over $200 billion in assets and is advised by the international investment management company CBRE Global Investors.
