Trowers & Hamlins advises on purchase of Pure DAB Digital Radio Business

Trowers & Hamlins has advised new client AVenture AT GmbH on the acquisition of Imagination Technologies' Pure DAB digital radio business in a deal that includes an option to acquire one of Imagination's properties in Hertfordshire.

Austrian investment company AVenture has acquired the business and assets of Pure, the British radio manufacturer, from Imagination Technologies, the British technology R&D company which designs microchips for products including iPhones.

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised leading nation-wide auto parts supplier ACM Parts on its acquisition of Justoyota and JustService, a recycled auto parts supplier and service centre based in Victoria.

ACM Parts, a Suncorp Group business, specialises in selling high-quality recycled, certified and OEM parts to Australia’s auto repair industry. The acquisition of Justoyota and JustService represents a further expansion of ACM Parts’ national footprint, increasing its existing presence in Victoria.

WFW advises Global Risk Partners on Marshall Wooldridge acquisition

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised independent insurance intermediary Global Risk Partners Limited (”GRP”) on its acquisition of a majority stake in leading UK commercial insurance broker Marshall Wooldridge.

Established in 1973 to serve the business community in Leeds and its environs, Marshall Wooldridge controls £20 million+ in premiums and employs 50 staff in that city and in Rotherham. Managing Director James Hall and his team will continue to lead the firm following the transaction.

Ljubljana, 23 September 2016 - Wolf Theiss Ljubljana has advised SOCIETA' ITALIANA ACETILENE E DERIVATI S.I.A.D. S.p.A. on its successful acquisition of ISTRABENZ PLINI d.o.o.

Wolf Theiss advised on transaction documentation, negotiation of the SPA, escrow arrangements as well as the merger filing in Slovenia. After already having a 49% share, SIAD with this acquisition became the sole owner of ISTRABENZ PLINI. The transaction closed on 7 September 2016.

A team led by Dr. Pär Johansson of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Cologne office advised Odewald KMU II, a German private equity firm specializing in the SME sector, on the acquisition of Roding-based Betten Duscher group.
 
Betten Duscher is a German group specializing in the manufacture and sale of bedding products with down, feather, and polyester filling. In addition, the group also sells decorative home products, bed linen, outdoor fabrics, and textiles for pet supplies.
