Allen & Overy advises Frankfurter Leben Group on the acquisition of ARAG Lebensversicherungs-AG

Allen & Overy advised Frankfurter Leben Group on the acquisition of 92 per cent of the shares in ARAG Lebensversicherungs-AG from ARAG SE.

The life insurance portfolio of ARAG Lebensversicherungs-AG comprises 322,000 policies with underlying investments of EUR 2.8 billion and insurance premiums of EUR 220 million. The transaction is still subject to approval by the German regulator BaFin.

White & Case Advises Basalt Infrastructure Partners on Acquisition of Comax France

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Basalt Infrastructure Partners LP on its agreement to acquire 100 percent of the ownership interest in Comax France S.A.S. from independent US power producer Maxim Power Corp.

Basalt is an infrastructure investment firm focused on investments in energy, transportation and utility assets across the UK, Europe and North America. The Comax acquisition, which represents Basalt's seventh investment, is due to close during the fourth quarter of 2016, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

WFW advises Trackunit A/S on acquisition of Dreyer + Timm GmbH

DLA Piper advises Dechra Pharmaceuticals on acquisition of Apex Laboratories

Global law firm DLA Piper has advised international veterinary pharmaceuticals company Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC on the proposed acquisition of Apex Laboratories Pty Ltd, valued at AU$55 million.

The DLA Piper team was led by Corporate partner David Ryan and senior associate James McCarthy, with assistance from Intellectual Property partner Melinda Upton, Head of Employment Nicholas Turner and solicitor Lauren Crossman.

Frankfurt/London, September 21, 2016 – The international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has advised Instrumentation Laboratory Co, a part of the WerfenLife family of companies, on the acquisition of the TEM group of companies. The transaction comprises the Swiss ultimate parent company CA Casyso AG and its three German subsidiaries as well as subsidiaries in the US, UK, France, and Canada.

TEM is a global leader in in vitro diagnostic testing for patient blood management with their flagship ROTEM testing systems.
