Vinge acts as lead counsel to Orkla in connection with its acquisition of Cederroth

Vinge advises and has acted as lead counsel for Orkla ASA in connection with its acquisition of the hygiene- and health care company Cederroth Intressenter AB. The sellers are funds managed by CapMan and Litorina, together with senior management and other minority shareholders. The purchase price is SEK 502 million, thus valuing the entire Cederroth group (on a debt-free basis) at SEK 2,015 million. The transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be completed no later than Q3 2015.

Vinge advised Lagardère Unlimited in connection with its taking over of the management of Friends Arena

Vinge advised Lagardère Unlimited (“Lagardère”) in connection with its acquisition of Driftbolaget i Solna AB and the entering into of a long term lease agreement with the real-estate owner of Friends Arena, Arenabolaget i Solna AB. Lagardère hereby takes over the management of Friends Arena for at least the next ten years.

Weil Advises Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs on XL Group’s Acquisition of Catlin Group

A Weil team led by New York partners Morgan Bale, Michael Aiello and Jennifer Bensch advised Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as financial advisors and providers of a bridge financing to XL Group plc, an Ireland-based global insurance company, for its approximately $4.1 billion acquisition of Catlin Group Limited, a Bermuda-based specialty insurance and reinsurance company.

Shoosmiths advises Swedish conglomerate Indutrade AB on acquisition of UK manufacturer

Shoosmiths has advised Swedish conglomerate Indutrade AB on its acquisition of the entire share capital of Adaero Precision Components Ltd, from the Cosworth Group.

Shoosmiths corporate partner, Ben Turner, associate, Al Hammerton and tax partner, Kate Featherstone, advised on the deal after impressing Indutrade with their approach on the sale of Birmingham Specialities Limited to Indutrade in 2014.

Weil Advises Centerbridge Partners in its Acquisition of Senvion SE

The transaction is subject to regulatory and other customary closing conditions.

KKR to Acquire Trainline

(“KKR”) in connection with the acquisition of Trainline, the UK's leading online platform for selling rail tickets to both consumers and businesses. Trainline is the most downloaded travel app in the UK and its website ranks 5th by gross transaction value in the UK e-commerce sector. Trainline is licensed to sell rail tickets on behalf of all UK Train Operating Companies, Deutsche Bahn and Trenitalia.

King & Wood Mallesons advised Sagard and Euromezzanine on the acquisition, alongside the management, of Safic-Alcan from Parquest Capital.

Sagard is a French investment fund that provides equity capital to support the development of mid-sized companies led by ambitious management teams. Created by the Desmarais family in 2003 together with a group of well entrenched industrial families, it manages close to €2 billion in funds.

Eversheds advises Phoenix Equity Partners on acquisition of holiday park operator

Eversheds has advised leading UK middle-market private equity firm Phoenix Equity Partners on the acquisition of Bridge Leisure, the holiday park operator, alongside the current management team led by CEO Andrew Howe.

As part of the transaction, Bridge Leisure is simultaneously acquiring Silver Sands Holiday Park which is located near Lossiemouth in Scotland.
