International law firm Trowers & Hamlins recruited partner Neil Biswas to its real estate team in London.

Neil has extensive experience in commercial property development and the housing development both within the private and public sectors. He also has significant experience in the housing investment sector, advising some of the largest investors in the social housing investment and development market where he is regarded by many clients as a leading individual in legal sector.

Damian Lovell and Hamish Macpherson are recognised as preeminent in their areas of expertise.

Damian joins the firm from National Australia Bank, where he was a litigation consultant. Prior to that Damian spent 6 years as the Vice President of litigation at BHP and 12 years as a Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills.

Herbert Smith Freehills has further strengthened its disputes offering in Europe with the hire of new Madrid Partner David Arias, who will join the firm with a team of four litigation and arbitration lawyers.

The new team will join the firm's Madrid office on 7 May, 2019, from disputes boutique Arias SLP, which was founded by David in 2014. Prior to founding Arias, David Arias spent 16 years as a partner at Pérez-Llorca, where he established its dispute resolution practice.
