WFW advises KfW IPEX-Bank on financing of “La Granja Solar” Chilean photovoltaic project

Watson Farley & Williams ("WFW") has advised KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH ("KfW IPEX-Bank") on the US$91m financing for the Granja Solar photovoltaic project near Pozo Almonte in northern Chile. The loan documentation was signed in December 2018.

"La Granja Solar" was developed by Spain's Getxo headquartered Solarpack Corporacion Tecnologica, S.A., which will also be building, owning and operating the project. Following completion, Granja Solar will have a total installed capacity of 123 MWp.

Slaughter and May is advising The Simplify Group, a portfolio company of Palamon Capital Partners (Palamon), on its combination with My Home Move and on the refinancing of the combined group.  The business will be combined under the group name Simplify to become the UK’s largest conveyancing group.  Slaughter and May also advised Palamon on its original investment in The Simplify Group.

CalAmp is a longstanding client of Taylor Wessing, having worked with the firm since its first expansion into Europe in 2013.

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Tantalum, a leader in connected car software and payments, on the sale of Tracker, its UK stolen vehicle recovery business, to CalAmp.

Tracker uses combined VHF technology with GPS and GSM technology to provide defence against vehicle theft through its monitoring and location services enabling faster activation and recovery.

Osborne Clarke acted for Tantalum in 2014 on its acquisition of Tracker from Direct Line.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises Assoufid Properties Development S.A. on the negotiation of hotel contracts with Marriott International Group

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Assoufid Properties Development S.A., housing promotion group based in Morocco, on the negotiation of hotel contracts with Marriott Group for the creation of the St Regis Marrakech Resort.

The hotel will comprise 80 rooms and villas, a spa, a swimming-pool and various restaurants. It will be built by United Real Estate Company. Opening is planned in 2024.
