WBD advises Linden Homes on two new land acquisitions

WBD has advised housebuilder Linden Homes who is set to build hundreds of new homes in North, South and East Yorkshire; on two major land acquisitions. Linden Homes recently announced the new site purchases through its Linden Homes East Yorkshire's land division.

The WBD team, led by Managing Associate Patrick Jackson, advised on two new site purchases including the land at Malton in Ryedale, North Yorkshire; to deliver an additional 140 plots as a continuation to Linden Homes' Copperfields development. The site will deliver a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Dentons advises Enlight Renewable Energy on the construction and financing of three solar power plants in Hungary

Dentons advised Enlight Renewable Energy on the contract negotiations for the construction of three solar power plants in Hungary, with an aggregate capacity of appx. 57 MW. The firm also assisted Enlight in obtaining HUF 15 billion (around EU45 million) in financing for the project.

Gide, counsel to Oxford Properties Group on the acquisition of 273 rue Saint Honoré, Paris

Gide has advised Oxford Properties Group, the real estate branch of Canadian company OMERS, on the acquisition from Olayan Group of 273 rue Saint Honoré in central Paris.

273 rue Saint Honoré is a luxury retail, exhibition and office asset covering approximately 1,430 sq.m., currently fully leased to the Italian luxury brand Valentino.

Mayer Brown has announced that prominent appellate lawyer Nicole A. Saharsky has joined the firm as a partner in Washington DC, where she will serve as a co-leader of the Supreme Court & Appellate practice, along with Supreme Court advocate Andrew Pincus. Ms. Saharsky is a veteran of the Office of the Solicitor General at the US Department of Justice, where she served for 10 years as an assistant to the solicitor general. Most recently, she was a partner at Gibson Dunn.

Judo is an SME lender that is in the process of obtaining its banking license. This facility is an example of material securitisation facilities being provided to emerging lenders by domestic and offshore funders.

Ashurst advises LG International on sale of interests in oil and gas assets in Colombia and Chile to GeoPark

International law firm Ashurst has advised LG International Corporation ('LGI') on the sale of its 20% economic interest in upstream oil and gas assets in Chile and Colombia to its joint venture partner GeoPark Limited ('GeoPark').

The transaction gives GeoPark 100% ownership of its Colombian and Chilean operating companies, ending the eight year strategic partnership between LGI and GeoPark in South America.
