Eversheds Sutherland advises Stolt-Nielsen LNG Holdings Ltd and Avenir LNG Ltd on strategic joint venture investment

Eversheds Sutherland has advised Stolt-Nielsen LNG Holdings Ltd (“Stolt”) and Avenir LNG Ltd (“Avenir”) in connection with the investment by Stolt, Golar LNG Ltd and Höegh LNG Holdings Ltd. of US$182 million into Avenir. This investment will enable Avenir to pursue opportunities to deliver LNG to areas of stranded demand, as well as the development of LNG bunkering capabilities.

Eversheds Sutherland has announced the appointment of Yuri Wehrmeijer to the Litigation and Dispute Management team in the Netherlands. He will join as a partner and lead the global legal practice’s litigation offering in the region.

Yuri was previously a prominent member of the Litigation group at Dutch law firm Houthoff. He has extensive corporate litigation experience having handled a number of large and complex cases for domestic and international clients.

Supernova Invest GmbH acquires ten shopping centres in Slovenia from food retail chain Mercator with a rentable area of around 100,000 square metres. The property developer Supernova relied on the legal advice of Wolf Theiss for this acquisition, including due diligence and contract negotiations. Signing of the transaction took place on 12 October 2018; its deal value amounts to EUR 116.6 million.
