Ashurst advises Energy Australia on A$205m purchase of Ecogen

Ashurst has advised EnergyAustralia Investments Pty Ltd (EnergyAustralia), member of the EnergyAustralia group, on its A$205million purchase of all the issued shares in Ecogen Energy Pty Ltd (Ecogen).

Ecogen owns two gas power stations in Victoria, the Newport Power Station in Melbourne and the Jeeralang Power Station in the Latrobe Valley, which have a combined capacity of 950MW. This represents approximately 9% of Victoria's total generation capacity.

Ashurst advises Judo Capital Holdings Limited on its A$100 million equity raising

Ashurst has advised Judo Capital in one of Australia’s largest pre-revenue capital raisings. The capital raise is from a consortium of domestic and international investors and is being conducted in two tranches.

The capital raise will fund Judo Capital's goal of becoming the first true “challenger bank” for Australia’s small and medium-sized business (SME) market. Judo provides flexible business loans, lines of credit, equipment loans, finance lease and home loans for our business lending customers.

Ashurst advises Ardian on the sale of six solar photovoltaic plants

Ashurst has advised Ardian on the sale, through 3 New Srl, of six solar photovoltaic plants in Italy to F2i Sgr, through F2i Energie Rinnovabili Srl.

The projects are located in Emilia Romagna, Puglia and Sicily, and have a combined capacity of 51.5 MW.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Carloandrea Meacci, assisted by associates Flavia Calò and Pamela Infantino. Counsel Annamaria Pinzuti advised on the M&A aspects of the transaction with counsel Elena Giuffrè advising on the administrative law aspects.

Dentons advises Tenaga Nasional Berhad on the refinancing of the Malaysian electricity utility's UK Feed-in Tariff wind portfolio

Dentons has advised Tenaga Nasional Berhad ("TNB"), one of the largest utility players in Asia, on the refinancing of the UK-based wind portfolio acquired by TNB's wholly owned subsidiary, Tenaga Wind Ventures UK Ltd, on 28 February 2018. The refinancing represents the first-ever overseas non-recourse project financing that TNB has undertaken.

Dentons advises on equity offering by Housing Development Finance Corporation

Dentons has advised on a INR1,896 crore (approximately US$291.4 million) qualified institutional placement follow-on share offering by Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC). HDFC is the largest housing finance institution in India, with over US$60 billion of gross loans outstanding as of 31 December 2017 and a market capitalisation of over US$42 billion as of 31 December 2017.

Dla Piper advises Tentamus on its acquisition of laboratories from TÜV Rheinland in China and Taiwan

DLA Piper has advised the globally operating Tentamus Group on its acquisition of food analysis laboratories from the TÜV Rheinland Group in China and Taiwan. The company has signed an agreement to take over all food-related businesses from TÜV Rheinland. The acquisitions in China and Taiwan were concluded after clarification of the customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals in the third quarter of 2017.

DLA Piper advises Lux Capital Management on recent round of Series B financing

DLA Piper represented Lux Capital in its investment in Mythic's recent US$40 million Series B financing. Mythic is developing a technology platform that delivers the power of desktop GPU in a button-sized chip that supports multi-million weight neural networks facilitating local AI on any device.

The Series B was led by SoftBank Ventures, which also included participation from other existing investors including Lux Ventures, Data Collective, DFJ, AME Cloud Ventures, and new investors Andy Bechtolsheim and Lockheed Martin.
