Gide, counsel to Hands Corporation on the set-up of a new manufacturing plant in Morocco

Gide’s Casablanca office, alongside law firm Yulchon, have advised South Korean alloy-wheel manufacturer Hands Corporation, fifth producer worldwide, on concluding an investment agreement with the Kingdom of Morocco to design, finance, develop and operate a new manufacturing plant to be located within the Tangier Free Trade Zone in Morocco.

Allen & Overy Paris advised Air Liquide, the world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health, on its first bond issuance on the Chinese domestic market for an aggregate nominal amount of 2.2 billion Renminbi (approximately 280 million euros). Air Liquide becomes therefore one of the first European companies to issue on this market.

Clyde & Co secures landmark oil & gas floating pledge agreement in Mexico

Clyde & Co has advised Petrolera Perseus, a Mexican oil company, on the first ever floating pledge agreement over the interest of oil & gas license contracts in Mexico.

On 13 March 2018 the Mexican National Hydrocarbons Commission (NHC) approved, for the first time in Mexico, the constitution of a floating pledge agreement over the rights of an oil and gas contract.

Schulte Advises Albertsons Companies in Merger With Rite Aid

Schulte is advising Albertsons Companies, one of the nation’s largest food and drug retailers, in its merger with Rite Aid Corporation, one of the nation’s leading drugstore chains. The integrated company will operate approximately 4,900 locations, 4,350 pharmacy counters and 320 clinics across 38 states and Washington, D.C., serving over 40 million customers per week. The deal was announced Feb. 20, 2018 and is expected to close early in the second half of 2018. The newly combined company is expected to generate year one revenues of approximately $83 billion.

The new investment trust, Augmentum Fintech plc, raised £94 million. Its shares were admitted to the premium listing segment of the Official List of the FCA and to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on 13 March 2018.
